Dickson, Sinclair, Sam, Sodje, Basey, Wagstaff, Randolph, Solly, Dailly, Burton, McKenzie, Clark, Spring, Stavrinou

i think Dickson, Sinclair, Spring and McKenzie will be released

Sam, Sodje, Dailly, Burton will be asked to take pay cuts.

Randolph, Waggy, Basey, Solly and Stavrinou should be offered new deals.
  • Personally I can see Spring being offered a new deal. experienced, and I figure won't be on massive wages as I can't see anyone ese coming in for him. Will probably play more next year too
  • the white cory gibbs
  • Sam will be off to a championship side. we should probably keep spring, he could end up being important next season when we see what we have left out of bailey racon and semedo. we should never have let josh wright go.
  • i think Spring will want to go, i'm sure he will get offers from other clubs. he might even go back to luton.
  • You think he would rather play conference football for Luton than stay in league one with every chance of becoming a regular? Doubtful.
  • Thanks. Be interesting to see what happens. Stebo's analysis probably a good assessment. Although Basey may sacrificed if we keep Youga and have both Solly and Clark as back up. Glad to see Semedo, Bailey and Racon still under contract which at least means we would get a fee from any of them. Spring's offer will depend what happens to them. Our retained striking force under contract will be Fleetwood and Mcleod and then we still have that darling Moutakil!
Be interesting to see what happens.
  • [cite]Posted By: paulsturgess[/cite]we should never have let josh wright go.
With the midfielders we had, and apart from Jonjo, still have, he'd have never got into the team. He got an offer from a Championship club and plays far more for them than he would have for us.
  • There's a few kids in addition to this but here's our squad at the moment - wafer thin

    Goalkeepers
    Elliot
    Randolph Out of Contract
    Warner Out of Contract

    Moutaouakil
    S Sodje Out of Contract
    Dailly Out of Contract
    Solly Out of Contract
    Basey Out of Contract
    Clark Out of Contract
    Borrowdale Loan
    Fry Loan

    Midfielders
    Racon
    Semedo
    Bailey
    Sinclair Out of Contract
    Stavrinou Out of Contract
    Spring Out of Contract
    Wagstaff Out of Contract
    Sam Out of Contract
    Reid Loan

    Mcleod
    A Sodje ?
    Dixon Out of Contract
    McKenzie Out of Contract
    Burton Out of Contract

    Forster Loan

I think that most of those who have contracts are up in may 2011 so the value of our saleable assets like Bailey, Youga, Semedo and Racon isn't as high as you think in an already depressed market.

I hope Parky's not booked any holidays, he and Waggot have got some work to do.
  • i am sure mcleod fleetwood Moutaouakil are also out

  • Can't believe Sam Sodje is out of contract, he'll be off the won't he :(
  • [cite]Posted By: Lee Heywood[/cite]i am sure mcleod fleetwood Moutaouakil are also out
Unfortunately not, 3 and 4 year deals when they signed, so all 3 have another year to go. Luckily though Semedo isn't and neither is Racon.

Squad looks very small now Imnot has laid it out like that. Jenkinson, Perkins and Davisson are the other 3 young players that turned pro with Tuna and Mambo.

Take all loanees and out of contract players out and we have 1 keeper, 3 senior defenders (plus Yassin, Mambo and Jenkinson) and 3 midfielders (plus Davisson). The only strikers are ones we don't want in Fleetwood and McLeod, Akpo if he's signed and two young players in Tuna and Perkins.

So plenty of work to do, am looking forward to the first news on who's staying or being released. Think it might well be the young players we find out about first.

Mouts is definitely not out of contract. We need to try and pay him off.
  • Fleetwood has definitely got another year, and Exeter aren't interested in him for next season.

Moutaouakil signed a 4 year deal in 2007 - Moutaouakil signs

    As did McLeod McLeod signs
  • [cite]Posted By: Danny Addick[/cite]Can't believe Sam Sodje is out of contract, he'll be off the won't he :(
Well no one took a gamble on him last year, we didn't sign him until the end of August. I'd say we have a good chance of keeping him, he likes Charlton and it seems his brother has signed.
  • i just hope we can get some investment in the club perhaps we can off load mouts on a free and put mcleod out on loan again

No one will take Mouts because they can't match his £8k per week alleged wages. That's why we'll have to try and pay him off.
  • If Yassin really does get a "loyalty bonus" that'll be more like £10-12k...!
  • We can't afford to carry non playing players like Mouts, Fleetwood and McLeod. If you believe rumours they could be on 8,3 & 6k per week, which combined is £884k per year. That's over 3000 season tickets! We should cut our losses on the three of them this summer and try to come to some sort of settlement. In the current market they've very little value anyway
  • someone will take them, even if we have to give them away for free.

I think that's what we've been trying for the last year with Yassin.

On McLeod, just seen Pardew's quote when we signed him: "I also feel that he is ready for the step up. He'll come into our pool as one of the strikers hoping to get us 25 goals."
