My take on procedings

Bailys fault end of, if Llera didnt take him out and he scored we would have been moaning, he was fckin awesome along with Dailly all night.
I havent said a bad word about Parky before bt IMO why on earth didnt he take Bailey off instead of reid? His head was messed after he fcked up a 4v2 which would have made the game 3-0 and not 2-1. Then for him to take a Penalty, said he would miss the cruicial pen before the match finished.

Good team performance, just same old 'unlucky' Charlton

  • Reid was struggling with his fitness
  • yes how the hell did we just loose it bailey didnt play well all night sam and reid were superb mooney did well and im not a huge fan of his burtons 1st half performance was superb will he stay now bailey ?
  • What about those misses by Burton and Forster in Extra time? IF you're playing the blame game why not heap some of it on them?

I personally think all Parky's substitutions were fine

    Sam > Wagstaff
Waggy almost scored himself with a shot that whistled past the post and had a couple of great crosses that we perhaps should have scored from. He did as much and probably more than Sam had been doing or would have done

    Reid > Racon
Reid was knackered and pretty much had to come off, and Racon did really well.

    Mooney > Forster
Didn't quite pay off, but made sense. Forster could and perhaps should have scored when he got into a great position late on

For me, saying that Bailey should have come off is hindsight in the extreme. You don't take off your captain in a big game
  • Can't really argue with that cpl. Wouldn't fault Parky at all. Really went at them to start and I really doubt he instructed them to sit back in 2nd half & after sending off. Couldn't take Bailey off as only natural centre mid after Semedo had been moved back in to cover Llera.

Good performance all round, just a big shame our captain couldn't look up and play an easy ball which led to their goal and an even bigger shame he couldn't keep his head and hit the target from 12yrds. Useless tonight n useless most of the second half of the season. Get rid and get rid now.
  • No individual should be singled out tonight.
Shame that the level of effort we witnessed tonight wasnt consistent throughout the season
  • Bailey IMO had lost it, his head was down, ok he had a decent effort late on but he wasnt thinking, wasnt playing his normal game, he knew he messed up.

Reid although he was knackered (so was Sam after 20mins, I watched his running off the ball like someone off here mentioned earlier adn it is shocking) would have been an outlet, I would have put Racon in Centre Mid.

As I said dont disagree with the other substitutions and havent said a bad word about Parky when it seemed fashionable to do so, just that decision to keep him on confused me.

There No4 Douglas I think was awesome, although he should have been sent off in the first half, Lino gave him a nice pat on the bum at the end of the half though, wanker.
  • Any ball to their forwards stuck, Forster, Mooney and Burton in the 2nd half.....

Over the 2 legs I never felt confident.

    Thought Dailly was immense again.

Sam was, again, very very lacking. Never seen a player constantly shagged out by 60 mins.

Oh well, Dagenham & Redbridge next year....

Agree. We're screwed financially, let's deal with that. We're stuck down here for at least another year (I fear more), what's blaming people going to achieve? Parky did well considering he has not spent a penny this season, there's always 1 person who screws up on pens, unfortunately it was Bailey. We've been neck and neck pretty much with Swindon over 36 games, it's no surprise it went to pens. I'm as pissed off as anyone, especially as all my Millwall and Palace mates are gloating like twats, but let's just get some perspective here....

  • We had a chance to kill the game off against 10 men but couldn't take it.
Add in a bit of Keystone Cops play which led to their goal and it all just about sums up the story of our season.

Can't fault the effort or commitment of any of them tonight, but in the end we just fell a bit short on quality when it really mattered.

Let's hope for some good news/a miracle on the financial situation over the summer, but as long the club is still there we'll all be back for more next season.
  • 20 shots on target. Should have scored more than 2. That's why we're out.

  • Just seen the Llera sending-off on SSN - should never have been a red. Dailly was covering right behind.

Am just watching Burton in Extra Time, he gets cramp everytime he goes near the ball, he aint 17.

He may have been covering but he intentionally took the player down. Wasn't a miss timed challenge, he knew he had no chance on the ball so got the player. Red for me

Agreed, Dailly makes up ground after the challenge, Austin would have scored, I know it and was glad at the time he bought him down and risked a Red card.

Looking at the Swindon forums they seem to think they dominated it and deserved it...

    And out sung us...
  • I was bang on the half way line, and yes IMO they were louder.
As is every team is when they are in the JS stand, shocking that we cant put away fans in the two blocks of the East/West

Agree, rules are deliberately denying a goal scoring opportunity, he certainly did that. Issue is that we shouldn't have conceded before then, and not let that opportunity develop
