[cite]Posted By: rocking robin[/cite]Its probably due to capacity limits . You only get a percentage of the full allocation i think , still both clubs are of similiar size so i think overall the allocations are about right .
lol with all due respect, was that comment a wind up?
earlier in the season we got 1,000 tickets in the Arkell's stand and were offered 2,000 behind the goal if needed. We didn't need them as we took less than a 1,000. Swindon have maybe based our allocation on this fact so maybe, ultimately, it is our own fault.
Swindon are not a big club, they are a good league one side at the most, there 14,000 seat stadium with one roof explains it all. Yes there is potiental as there is in any club. But to say we our on the same level is a insult.
[cite]Posted By: rocking robin[/cite]I didnt say we were massive just we have the potential to be big just like you were . We just need the oppotunity to do this
Without a takeover I don't see us having the potential to get back where we were. Need a lot more money to spend on transfer fees and wages just to finish mid table in the Prem than you did 7/8 years ago.
[quote][cite]Posted By: CrayAddick[/cite]Have you any contacts regarding getting more info on why Swindon are so tight with the number of tickets they have given us?[/quote]
There is no story here, I've checked it with Swindon Town.
Football League rules state the home side have to allocate 10 per cent of their capacity (which in Swindon's case is around 14,500) to away fans, so the 2,000 Charlton got actually exceeds this limit.
They've already sold 8,000 and although the remainder go on general sale tomorrow, you have to already be on the Swindon Town database or have a Swindon postcode to qualify so there would be no point in Charlton fans even attempting to get in the home end.

If that weren't a wind-up, youre an idiot...
even if you do sell out 14.5k we'll still get nearly double you... expecting around 25-26k
lol, I think I should tell you that our slide started a while back ... we are hoping that we are now on th way back
Newshopper appreciate the research.
