We live in hope more than expectation.
The game at Oldham is not as pivotal or defining as we would probably want it to be – but it could still turn out that way.
An unlikely and improbable set of results could still see Charlton get that coveted second place and negate the need for play offs this season, but let’s be honest, it’s not going to happen is it?
Saturday is a day for those going up to Boundary Park to enjoy themselves, the football and hopefully the result. If things don’t go our way, then so be it – we just need to carry on the momentum into the 3 (hopefully) most important games in our recent history.
I can’t see the team changing much from last week with Parky determined to get a result regardless of what happens at Leeds and Millwall. If results filter through from elsewhere and things are not going our way we could quite easily see multiple changes and a “foot-off-the-gas” attitude take place – especially with an important game coming up rather quickly.
Anyway, let’s enjoy the day, do our job by winning 3-1, keep everything crossed and see what ten to five brings us.
Come on You Reds!

1-1
Wish i was going to this regardless, but still would love us to nick 2nd as saves all the dramas in the play offs
Oldham have just sacked their manager, their safe, theres probably never going to be a better time for us to go there and get a win
spot on
if carlsberg did league one finishes...........................
lol i was just about to put that oohaah, sounding more like you by the day!
with all the noisey passionate charlton fans (who can pull themselves away from the election)
what better incentive will the team have than to be inspired to a monumental victory
0-0 it is then
maybe not lol
as for the other results - think leeds might slip us, but i can't see swindon and millwall drawing... think swindon might nick it.
in fact i'd prefer Leeds 1-1, Nillwall 1-1 and charlton win 12-0 securing promotion
We will win, the other results will go our way, we will go up in second place, I will send my play off tickets back.
Or by 4.50 on Saturday I will feel like an idiot!!
Never mind I am in a totally positive place on this one!!
To all those that are going, I hope it turns into one of those 'we were there' games. Good Luck!!!!
However in Oldham's last three victories, the scoring was opened by striker Lewis Guy who is on a month's loan from Doncaster.
have put cheeky accumilator on us to win leeds to lose and millwall to draw, got 70-1!!!
