Are you too young to remember the Doncaster game?RaplhMilne said:Terry Naylor said:If we do go to the play offs and we win our home leg will the club let us bless the pitch to celebrate?
What do you think?
We are Charlton we don’t do pitch invasions, it’s too Palace/Millwall for us…l
Or maybe you're too old to remember it?10 -

No… The Man Utd 5-1 defeat was better, led onto pitch by Police after going 1 up following fighting on half way, We were 2-1 down by rime they got us around the pitch…..blackpool72 said:Chesterfield away in 74 was a proper pitch invasion.
The youth today have no idea

Don’t be daft, your abacus must have lost a bead, we’d all be old men and slowing down by now if that was the case…Airman Brown said:

That Preston night was so special - just 15 at the time and my first taste of glory! "On the pitch, on the pitch!"1

Sunderland when the Jimmy Seed was closed was interesting 😉2

Yesterday highlighted this exactly. Our players were swamped by the Wrexham fans yesterday, and judging by the actions of the mouthy minority gloating and gesticulating in front of us, I imagine copped some abuse too.killerandflash said:My problem with pitch invasions, is the safety of the opposition players. It might not feel very spontaneous, but they should be allowed off the pitch first, as there will always be home fans who start abusing them, and that's when it can get nasty.

Not to mention that Godden was literally on the floor in the 6 yard box when the ref blew for full time. Blew my mind that he’d do that when you could already see the home fans over the advertising boards8

Saw one giving it to Gilbert, in fairness he gave it back.killerandflash said:

The only Charlton player I saw leave the pitch was TC.0

Saw Jones leave, it must have been a good 5 minutes after the whistle.Covered End said:The only Charlton player I saw leave the pitch was TC.0 -
I saw Godden, Edwards, and Docherty who all applauded the Charlton fans in that narrow strip between us and the stewards.4

Fair play to them. Would have been understanble to leg it off down the tunnelkillerandflash said:I saw Godden, Edwards, and Docherty who all applauded the Charlton fans in that narrow strip between us and the stewards.0 -

YOU WOULDN’T STEAL A PITCHJustFloydRoad said:23 -
I know some people have weird fetishes but if there's a few nice divots I hope no one does actually enter the pitch tonight...edit unless we win of course then go for it.1

Token gesture statement.
They're not going to ban 5k+ people who run on. Was anyone banned after Doncaster?0 -
Never make it on there with my knees0
-
I’d probably end up with a groin strain trying to get over the hoardings.2

Too far down from the back of the Curbs stand.
I'd rather invade one of the exec boxes and steal some booze!4 -

Celebrate with your own players and fans. Don't go over to the away end to abuse the opposition fans, that's not right.
A few Wrexham fans did that to us last month, dickhead behaviour.17 -
That went well8
