    I know where you mean. I lived near the NAAFI building in Kennington Lane and later close to Manor Place Baths. Millwall territory really but fortunately that's where I had a neighbour that took me to Charlton for the first time.

    Siddall must have been close to retirement when I left

  • Luckily I moved to Abbey wood when I was 13 and found the Valley
    previously I was caught up in the busby babes / munich thing and dare I say it , my nan knitted me a Manure scarf !!!
    The older kids on the estate would take me to Chelsea ( jimmy greaves era ) and my dad would take me to all the london grounds when Manure were in town, and also Millwall , but I was never swayed or impressed...

    Our flats were opposite the NAAFI in Kennings way , happy days
