[cite]Posted By: son of selhurst[/cite]Awwwwww your concern about our financial position is truley moving.

Ground or no Ground, Money or Skint, our Club will go on.

But thank you for your continued support, it's heartwarming.

I will donate a fiver if that helps.

Every little helps, if you could gift aid it too that would be good as we can claim an extra 25% (before some smart arse says know you cannot as your not a registered charity, I know!!), joke.
  • There were some nice, well spoken Palace girls interviewed during halftime at Sheffield yesterday.

Surely they could sell one of their ponies or get daddy to offer the nice young man who tends the tennis courts and the pool.
He'd probably be a half decent player when Palace are down to their bare bones.

Amazing that Ambrose has been on fire this year when he was rejected by us and Ipswich last season for being awful.

He should raise a few quid too.
  • You'll be on a register all right. . .
  • just watched the luton fans abusing the york players. Bit ugly out there.
  • seems to have been a fair biut of violence this weekend doesnt bode well for our world cup bid

those york players were only celebrating with teir own fans when the famous migs come on i hope the york fans got away safely because Luton aint geared up to deal with that anymore
  • You can write a list of muggy clubs fans who would do that.
  • £500,000 a year to run the fabled Palace Academy according to the rags today. If it is to be believed the money has now run out and if a deal cannot be struck in the next couple of weeks then the administrator will be having a fire sale of the clubs only assets that remain, the players. Ambrose having struck 20 this season is top of the list of bankable assets. The administrator will also look at potentially closing the acadamy to try and prolong the life of the club. With the club going in to administration for the 2nd time in 10 years the future is not look bright, and it isn't orange!

Palace have won the fight from relegation but the battle for survival is still on.
  • [cite]Posted By: son of selhurst[/cite]Budgie, this is a thread for the jokers! Just relax now and watch the league one, end of season carve up.

I'd love a Clowntown v Millwall semi final.

TBH I'd rather be in our present situation than yours. If we have to go through the play-offs, which seems increasingly likely, then I'd rather be in an 'end of season carve up' as you put it rather than a fight for survival.

Far from it, I think you should explain yourself, you want to make a faceless snide comment, at least have the balls to explain to all the decent people on this forum, what the point is that you are making, c'mon grow some???
  • I'm pretty sure you know what he meant. Otherwise you wouldn't have taken offence with it.
  • [cite]Posted By: Friend Or Defoe[/cite]Tut tut.

I thin that's what they call "instant justice".

Look SoS, most of us tolerate you and engage in light-hearted banter occassionally - but don't start coming on here trying to act all billy big cahoonas.

What's the matter - back to college tomorrow and run out of Clearasil?

He may have got a clout, but I bet he's still celebrating been in the Championship. I'm sure you'd happily accept the same in return.
  • No, because I wouldn't be stupid enough to celebrate on the pitch of the team mine had just relegated.

Yes, even if it was Palace.

    I love this board.

Addickted writing down things from the BBS and HoL (or simply cutting and pasting them) and making out he has inside info about Palace (does his Palace obsession, which seems to take up more of his time than anything he says about Charlton, worry any of you?); Henry Irving's chip on each shoulder, which manifests itself as a bitter hatred of Palace; and the rest of you - I imagine there were so many unhappy people in SE7 on Sunday, all waiting for Palace to go down, all with hard-on's thinking about it, wishing for it to happen to big bad Palace - well, it didn't. Deal with it.

You must have been gutted that we showed all the fight, pride and grit that you did not show last season when you gave up without a whimper, gutted that you have never been in a away crowd of nearly 6,000 and gutted that your 'model of a well run club' still languishes below us, despite us going through the most torrid of times. I bet you are also gutted because secretly you know the only ones who hate you are Gillingham. You have no rivals because you aren't worth having a rivalry with. Incidentally, do you still sing that 'number 1 in South London' song? If no, why not?

I will laugh when you get stranded in League 1 again next season after losing in the Play-offs, after your best players (only two - one gone, the ginger midfielder next) have gone and when you have Peter Taylor or Dennis Wise as your next manager saying what a 'massive job' it is managing Charlton, only for you to slide further down the table towards League 2.

Still, at least you will have your derby with Gillingham.
  • [cite]Posted By: matt_himself[/cite]gutted that you have never been in a away crowd of nearly 6,000

How many did we take to Selhurst when that fat bird was on your pitch at half-time?? 10,000 or so I recall..............

    Exactly.

But you agree with the rest...interesting.
  • Ok Matt:
So we have No rivals ?
    Why are you here ?

    6,000 ?
Thats about half of the Home attendance of "South Londons Biggest Team".

    "Well Run Club" ?
That'll be your mob in SE25 would it ?

    "Best Players Leaving......"
I'll just sit back and watch "your team" go out and buy £M players to add to all those who will stay during the Summer.

And isn't Peter Taylor "Hero-worshipped" by the Holmsdale Fanatics ?

7:15pm....better start getting ready for bed.

I didn't read it to be honest. Just saw the figure 6000 & knew you must be wetting yourself as it is 10 times what you normally take away.

Hahaha Matt. Getting a bit ruffled for someone who doesn't care.

Didn't even know you were still fighting against relegation until I read this thread. Personally, putting you out of the Premiership was enough satisfaction to last me a good 30 years.

    Thanks for the memories.

Sha la la la la la la. BOOM BOOM.

big bad palace??? matthew is it true that a certain palace forum had a countdown to charlton relegation thread that had more posters than any other thread? regarding rivals you have one with brighton i see, how sad is that a inoffensive club such as yourself with equal numbers of inoffensive little creeps such as your goodself, and why on earth are you coming on to a club you protest means nothing to you messageboard so soon after saving your championship status, what a odd little club your a part of .
  • the simple answer Nolly is that matt himself is a prick
  • i would wager matt has a quite nasty time once upon a time in se7
  • i would wager Matt has never ventured into Se7 and if he did i bet he says nothing keeps his head down and gob shut because matts mummy and daddy take him to every game
  • i would wager matt supports the most pointless harmless nigel club in the uk.
