Away Performance v Millwall compared to Home Performance v Norwich

edited April 2010 in General Charlton
Its interesting how much more the players and Parky seemed up for todays match. What team do you think would turn up for the play-offs if we make them?

  • Not sure. But the difference between the two perfomances is,in my opinion,Forster. He is now a pivotal part of our side.

    His movement is outstanding
  • Forster worked his grains of coffee off. Never stopped, superb level of commitment throughout.
  • forster, superb. A Sodjie useless, twice as big as everyone else on the pitch but still fails to win headers, having said that i did see an improvement from previous games, still useless though, and forster just makes him look worse as he is far more skillfull and commited.
  • Burton made a diffrerence when he came on too !
  • Borrowdale has also made a difference. At least two of Millwall's goals came from Solly's unorthodox wing.

Let's hope Forster is the new Jim Melrose , who came in late and provided a promotion push in 85 with some vital goals
  • Chalk and cheese. If Charlton bring that type of performance to the playoffs then we could easily go on and win them. Perhaps our form has returned just a game or two too late for automatic promotion but just right for winning at Wembley. Best I have seen since 2009.

Sodje won three or four good headers today. The trouble is that each and every one of them was when he had dropped deep; I don't think we have anyone who's fast enough to run on to them like that. When he went further forward Nelson had the better of him.
