Ladies Lunch

edited April 2010 in General Charlton
Something for the fans forum to put forward.. but only if we get to choose the players to attend. I saw it on soccer saturday - i think it was burnley that did one first... and now derby have jumped on the bandwagon.

  • 'Ladies' in the loose sense I take it?

    ;-)
  • You could always do a 'Ladies of Charlton Life' lunch, and i'll arrange for NorthStandSteve, Addickted and Chirpy Red to do some catwalk modelling.....

    derby

I watched that, I think it was on the BBC, football focus?
To be honest the Burnley ladies made me cringe but I am sure you Charlton ladies will show them how its done with a bit of class.

  • Yes same ESM there were some sights. Ihink it ws football focus now you mention it.

Imagine poor jonjo having to walk into a room of steamed up women... let me at him.
  • yep, it was Burnley on FF and yes it was hugely cringeable, particularly Brian Laws joking about the players jockstraps etc...

Most of out lot probably wear bloomers anyway...

Who's wearing the bloomers, our ladies or the players??
  • I think the women should be at home looking after the kids and doing house work, not out having lunches.

    Get back in the kitchen

  • So just me and Shag then?

not worth putting to the fans forum to suggest? :-)

  • Count me in B :o)

I feel for the players that get choosen walking into a room with us lot in it!
  • I heard Dowie is special guest.....
  • I just re-read that as Savage has posted a pic of some of the ladies. anyway its today, so not even on a match day.

  • The Derby ladies can have a signed Paul Jewell picture- as printed in the News of the Screws (Yes That picture!) to raffle.
  • thanks for that image... yuck.
  • I'm sure the first Burnley one wasnt on a match day (was really embaressing. Lots of northern monkeys talking about their 'women folk' etc)

I like the idea as a fundraiser for Breast Cancer or Demelza etc

B should do the half time team talk/rollocking....get Kins in a a headlock.
  • I see they taking bookings of 10. I don't think I know 10 female Charlton fans.
  • Quite a few take up 2 seats....

    Runs for the hills.

Wasn't that the story where he was alleged to have given the lucky lady a running commentary on the milkman doing his rounds whilst getting it on?. Novel way of keeping the train outside the station.

I must confess to never having read the story (nice touch though Clem) but I saw the great pic that Adam posted on here a while back! Absolutely pissed myself looking at it.
