If Sam Sod is going to be out, we'll going to be short on defensive cover if we keep the same 5 loanees in the squad. I reckon if he's missing we might have to drop one of Akpodge, Mooney or Reid (based on the fact we have Wagstaff who can come on instead of Reid, and Forster/Deon for the strikers) in order to accommodate Mr Fry on the bench.

Given that Deon is unlikely to last 90 minutes, Akpo is our 1 lump and Mooney is arguably the nearest we have to Deon I think it has to be Reid by default.
No reflection on a player who has been excellent for us but the rules leave us little alternative unfortunately.
[cite]Posted By: AFKABartram[/cite]Everything comes at a price.
Wonder how much this has cost us ?
I wondered that, still well done the board for leveraging the situation, and no good feelings towards that twat Warnock/QPR..(fairly or unfairly - not too sure)
[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Our promotion challenging side is half made up of other teams reserve players!
Needs must given our injury crisis and the ridiculous transfer window situation, its the way of the world nowadays - both this guy and Forster look like good deals though to me
[cite]Posted By: churley1[/cite]Shows how low you've sunk when you're celebrating signing Gary Borrowdale, he is League One standard and nothing more...
Which would explain the 100 odd appearances for Palace including some in the Premier League.
Won the Palace Young Player of the Year as well so maybe another of those young Eagles that, like their Academy, is so overated by the Palace fans themselves but then when they leave are completely dismissed.

Pretty sure he only made one start in the Prem at WBA away and he was shocking.
You'll think I am just saying it purely because he's now a Charlton player, but it was a complete mystery how he got young player of the year. We were delighted to get £650k minimum for him via a tribunal.
QPR and Cov didn't want him, so IMO he's found his level.
He made two starts but was 19/20 at the time and only back up to Danny Granville.
Still made 98 appearances for you in the top two flights.
Personally don't think he is a premier league player but he seems to have carved out a decent career at Championship level at Palace, QPR and Coventry.
he had a terrible game in first leg at swindon. he got out jumped for the first swindon goal and his corners were poor. The goalie claimed about half of his corner kick attempts. i would still start him on monday, but he needs a talking to... i know solly has heart at least !
you can judge our players on last night the TEAM performance was woeful in places from mgr down to strikers and defenders and midfield some of our fans were worse, i am extreemly glad we have got away with it and are well and truely in this tie can we score 2 at home i bet ya that forster Reid and Bailey score
I see he's been placed on the qpr transfer list along with agyemang, not sure how much they'd want, and I don't think we'll sign him; BUT
will be interesting to see where he ends up, thought he was solid if unspectacular last season, he will almost certainly will end up in this league though IMO. Can also see agyemang down here, if we didn't have akpo, I think he'd be a good signing
The problem with under contract players like these two, is that only 2-3 league one teams can afford their wages. Unless these two negotiate a package from QPR they're on long loans with QPR picking up a fair whack of wages. I'd like to see Borrowdale back with us, but I doubt it unless injury hits JJ or a cm.
Borrowdale is a perfectly good left back at League 1 level. He might not be a 'bucaneering' full back like Youga, but he is far more positionally aware and able to be part of a decent defensive line. We probably don't need him as we have Jackson, Solly and (eventually) Youga to play there, but he should find a club quite easily.

Are we bovvered if we get promotion, cause if we are then we should have planned for mid table

I think we've got some dirt on Warnock, and reminded him of this - only explanation I can think of!

Saw the boys throw away 2 late first/second goals at Norwich.
It was Shelvey's best game - he was showing off to a pretty blonde in the front row of our section of the ground.
Good defence needed and we can go 2nd after last night.
As for "it's a complete mystery" how he got young player of the year that sounds like a large slice of hindsight there. Was voted on by Palace fans http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=153321&page=3

Agreed, Dabos.
