And so we move on to game 2 out of 5 of the “Must Win Five”. After a battling, ugly but ultimately satisfying performance and result against the Colchester Hoofers, the game against league leaders Norwich is likely to be a whole different ball game. With the champions-elect stuttering of late, picking up a draw against MK Dons and losing to lowly Leyton Orient, Charlton need to take advantage and pick up another 3 points.
It’s not in our own hands but all the players, management and us as fans can do is take the clichéd view of “one-game-at-a-time” and continue to do our job and pick up the three points. If we do that from now until the end of the season then we may very well end up in 2nd place.
The team on Tuesday night was set up to deal with the physical demands that Aidy Boothroyd’s team generally put on you, but I fully expect a shift around in personnel and approach on Saturday. I would obviously stick with the back 4 we have but then change it up in midfield. Racon for me has been a passenger for too long and although him and Jose seem to get on well I think a sacrifice needs to be made to allow Bailey to move back into the centre allowing us to reintroduce Reid on the left to add some real natural width on both wings.
Can we play a front line that with a combined age can claim a pension? I’m not entirely sure it would work but with Parky declaring Deon fit we may well see a new partnership up front. Either way, I don’t think Akpo will start.
What a tough game this could be, but what a result if we pull it off. I think we’re going to surprise ourselves and walk out with a 3-1 win.
Take a look at the Run-In Thread for all other fixtures.

Team:
Randolph
Richardson, Dailly, Sodje, Borrowdale ( Back four automatic at the mo with recent form) edited- as borrow is going suppose well have to test out Matt Fry
Sam, Semedo, Bailey, Reid
Burton, Forster, if burton unfit go for akpo again as we seem to be playing long balls alot and he deals slightly better then mooney
Dont want to see us 4-5-1 or even 4-4-1-1 at home i think we should be the team attacking and put pressure on the away team, unfortunately dont think shelvey would suit this game from the off and bring him of the bench if scores are tied going into last 30mins, Mooney also to come on last 20 and waggy for Sam/reid whover tires more
Come on you Reds!!!
Randolph
Richardson/Dailly/Sodje/Borrowdale
Sam/Bailey/Semedo/Reid
Forster/Burton (Mooney if out)
Subs to be used:
Secret weapon 1) Shelvey to be given at least 1/2 hour as impact sub
Secret weapon 2) Wagstaff deserves another run out - looked up for it vs. Colchester
Hopefully Millwall lose to Huddersfield and leave it as a two horse race between us and Leeds!
The signing of Forster has parallels with the signing of Mark Bright in 1997/98 - getting a veteran goalscorer in to fire us to promotion!
Agree with ValleyGary's lineup above.

Perhaps that's why Matt Fry was played in an under18 game in midweek - match practice because Warnock wants GB back at Loftus Road.
we're gonna end up in the play offs and if we meet millwall we will win , you heard it here first , anyone else not so sure
2-0 to Charlton Forster, Burton (pen)
Lloyd Sam will be nailed on to start mate.
Fry's is left footed so no need to put Solly there
Can't see Burton starting as he's been out for a while
