    Reid - 6.5
    Forster - 6.5

    Mooney - 5.5
    A Sodje - 5.5
  • Randolph - 6
Richardson - 5 passing is awful
    Dailly - 5
    S Sodje - 6
    Borrowdale - 6
Sam - 4 did he play?
Semedo - 5 wasnt his normal self, I think getting a booking was on his mind.
    Racon - 5
    Bailey - 6
    Reid - 5
Forster - 5 to small to be playing up top on his own. might have had a few chances if Shelvey was playing behind him, rather then lumping the ball up in the air to him

Mooney - 4 seem to bottle a few oppurtunitys
    A Sodje - 5
  • Randolph - 6.5.....Did nothing wrong. Looking comfortable in the stick at the moment, if theres one thing he needs to work on its his kicking.
Richardson - 5.5....Still not the same Frazer we saw at the start of the season
Dailly - 6.5....did ok with Lambert, who is a very very good player.
    S Sodje - 6.5...played pretty well.
    Borrowdale - 6.5....played pretty well.
    Sam - 4.....poor
Semedo - 6.5.....played well first half
    Racon - 6....in and out
Bailey - 6.5....got into some decent positions although a couple of times either headed or passed aimlessly.
Reid - 6.5......again our most dangerous situations came from the left.
Forster - 7.5...Led the line very well, especially for a small forward. really impressed with him.

Mooney - 5.5...needs to be on his toes a bit more and gamble.
A Sodje - 5....won a couple of headers but the blokes a big fella. Not for me.
  • Randolph - 6 - Bit of a mixed bag. Smashed 3 goal kicks straight out for a throw and dropped one cross when adjudged to have been fouled (looked a soft decision to me). Made a couple of decent saves and dealt well with a couple of tricky back-passes. Overall did what he had to.
Richardson - 5.5 - Did okay, caught for pace a couple of times, but got forward when he could and delivered a couple of decent balls. Set pieces improving, although Borrowdale's are better.
Dailly - 7 - Beaten in air for goal, but othewise won most of his headers and him a Sodje restricted Saints to mainly long shots.
S Sodje - 7 - Couple of slightly 'Dodgy Sodje' momments but generally had the better of the Saints frontline.
Borrowdale - 6 - Outstripped for the goal and might have given away a penalty if the ref had any bottle. Calm head though and some excellent corners.
Sam - 5 - Did the simple things and worked hard but never got close to making that telling contribution. His reactionary movement continues to frustrate, but still the best option we have in his position so we're gponna have to put up with him.
Semedo - 7.5 - Good game again, doing what he does. Subbed because we were chasing game, not a refelction on his own performance, imo.
Racon - 6.5 - Tough afternoon for a player who wants the ball on the deck because there was so little space to work in. Still managed to show some of his ability though and I felt he was trying hard to get involved. Won a good few headers and made some tackles. Was a bit waseful with a couple of his final balls though.
Bailey - 6 - This boy is turning into a bit of an enigma. Work hard enough but failed to make much impact for long spells and was horribly wasteful with some of his distribution. Perhaps seems a bit light on confidence as a lot of it was down to rushing when under no real pressure to. All that said, on another day he'd have won us the match so continues to be hard to drop. Inetersting that we won the 2 games without him though.
Reid - 5.5 - More threatening than Sam but poor final ball let him down too often. He's another trier though. I'd have left him on, but he did seem to be tiring a bit.
Forster - 5.5 - Worked hard and showed some nice touches. In particular one sharp turn a shot. Really struggled to impose himself as a lone striker against a pair of good centre backs. I'd have left him on with Akpo for a bit to see if a chance fell his way, but he was probably tiring.

Mooney - 6 - Looked bright but lack of strength and or pace meant he couldn't quite make a couple of nice ideas come off.
A Sodje - 6 - Put himself about and his presence caused more problems than Forster's guile had. If only he had better touch and a faster brain. Looked onside to me when clean through but flagged off.

Jonjo - Showed some quality with a couple of good passes. Could have done with him on sooner or maybe even from the start.

Parky - Set the team up well in terms of containing Saints and can't be bllamed for the collective snoozing which led to the goal. It was important that we got a foothold in the game and quietened the crowd but we needed to show more ambition from the start. Forster was left too isoloated and we conceded too much ground and ball to Saints in the first half. Really think we'd have won if we'd had more of a go sooner.
  • Randolph -7 Still not made a mistake of consequence since returning. No way can Rob Elliot replace him until and if he does.
    Richardson - 7
Dailly - 8 Shackled Lambert very well
    S Sodje - 7
Borrowdale - 7 Shame he got caught for the goal. Played well otherwise
Sam - 6 Typical Sam nothing wrong but didn't get in many crosses and played backwards too much
    Semedo - 8
    Racon - 6.5
Bailey - 8.5 CAFC MOM no question
    Reid - 6
    Forster - 6.5

Mooney - 6 Passed sideways when could have scored & brushed aside too easily as usual, tried hard
    A Sodje - 6.5
  • Interesting score for Bailey CE. how did you come to that assumption?...thought he got into some decent positions, ie headers on goal, but there were numerous occasions when he just headed or volleyed straight back to one of them.

btw im not having a go mate, just wondering why you thought he was charltons MOM.
  • Randolph - 6.5 untroubled
    Richardson - 4.5 don't hoof
    Dailly - 4 too deep
    S Sodje - 4 too deep
Borrowdale - 3.5 don't hoof, poor for goal
Sam - 5 isolated not really his fault
Semedo - 6.5 his usual steady self
Racon - 7 tried to keep things going forward and got his foot in
Bailey - 4 little quality on show
Reid - 7.5 our main danger with no support, should never have been subbed
Forster - 6.5 tried hard but not a target man

Mooney - 3.5 ran around like a headless chicken
A Sodje - 6.5 looked lively and worried Saints defenders. Never offside when he was through?
Parky - 0.5 (for turning up) changed a winning side, baffling line up, perplexing subs. Doesn't know how to win a match, no gameplan, just sends 11 players out and hopes.

Randolph - 6.5 - Did quite well, wouldn't have expected him to save the shot for their goal
    Richardson - 5 - Had a poor game
Dailly - 6 - Decent without standing out
    S Sodje - 6 - Decent
Borrowdale - 6 - Not as good as Jackson and doesn't seem to offer much going forward
Sam - 5 - Poor game but 1 striker limited his options
Semedo - 6 - Glad he didn't get booked, did ok but like so many not much more than that over the whole game.
Racon - 6 - Some nice moments but few silly ones, like trying a backheel through a defenders legs
Bailey - 6 - Had some chances, usual good stuff but wouldn't say he had a great game
Reid - 5.5 - Did well for a bit but in the end produced nothing. Like Sam he made a mistake which led to their goal
Forster - 5.5 - Not his fault, he shouldn't be up front on his own. At the very least needs Jonjo supporting him and not a flat 5 man midfield behind him.

Mooney - 5.5 - Tried, outmuscled, no real impact
A Sodje - 6.5 - Did better in the air than usual, made it hard for their defenders, usual "non league" moments like his poor shot but he played a part in our improved performance as the game went on.

Jonjo did well when he came on, made space for himself and passed the ball well. Need to fit him in somewhere, just has that bit of quality and an end product to go with it that others don't have.

Randolph - 7 - Couldn't really fault him, much more commanding & decisive, growing in confidence
Richardson - 5 - This player frustrates me. Time after time he clubs the ball up the line, or gives the ball away too easily. Just a little more thought and composure, please Frazer. But can't fault his effort
Dailly - 7 - Marshalled the defence well, tidied up and always looking to pass out of defence
S Sodje - 8 - Attacked the 1st ball well, played with determination
Borrowdale - 6 - Outstripped for pace by a young whippet striker for their goal, otherwise steady and reliable. Good corner delivery.
Sam - 6 - Kept possession but rarely penetrated, a valuable cog in the wheel - but really should be more than that
Semedo - 7 - Did the simple stuff and did it well. Replaced only because Parky went for the game.
Racon - 6 - Tidy and decent enough game - but if only he had the drive to take a game by the scruff of the neck.
Bailey - 7 - Mr Huff & Puff himself, played everywhere except in the hole so it seemed, unlucky not to be our matchwinner
Reid - 6 - This boy should be ripping through defences, defenders can't live with his pace. Flatters to deceive. Gave the ball away cheaply which cost us the goal.
Forster - 6 - Soldiered on manfully on his own; against all the odds he still foraged a couple of chances out of nothing. No support, no one in the hole - Cap'n Bailey was too busy chasing the ball all around the park. Absolutely wasted being played on his own; at the very least he should have battering ram Akpo beside him.

Mooney - 6 - Brought a little guile to our attack, but too lightweight to have impact really. But never gives up
A Sodje - 7 - Suddenly the Saints CB's had some work to do, and Akpo put himself about well. Needed Forster beside him to pick up the pieces

Jonjo played very well in the 15 minutes he had on the park, he slotted in at LM and looked the part. Good touch, vision and penetrating passing - and with a directness and drive that was lacking with Racon.

Mention also to Randolph. Best game I've seen him play, although not exactly overworked but did everything needed - in stoppage time, Saints defenders were terrified of the big unmarked Randolph running 100 yards into their box for corners ...... if only the delivery could have been timed to pick out Randolph's runs. Frustrating!

I think it a little unfair to single out Reid for losing possesion for their goal. I seem to remember Sam having a golden opportunity to take on their full back when one on one.....but he cut inside, slowed the whole move down completely and got tackled. Semedo picked up the loose ball and played it out to Reid. Agree he gave the ball away cheaply but just saying its unfair to blame him for the goal.

As you say, Sam's situation was remedied by Semedo who struck a fine pass to Reid on the left, out wide.

Reid was the last Charlton player in possession, but played the ball loosely too far in front of himself - the defender covered and laid the ball back to his keeper, whose big hoof was flicked on well inside our half - and within moments the ball is rifled into our net.

I'm not looking to scapegoat Reid or any player for that matter, but he was the last player that unneccessarily lost possession.

So, using that theory, Borrowdale should have remedied Reids situation and Daily, Borrowdales. I think your way to nice to Lloyd Sam sometimes Oggy ;0)

Maybe I was too generous with Bailey's score and others. Yes he did give the ball away, he always does.

But he was the one player that could have and nearly did get something out of that game for us.I always had hope that he would save us. Who else was going to do it ?
