Dailly - 7.5 Getting back to what he was pre Christmas last few games
Sam - 8 Always a threat and did 4 or 5 dangerous crosses which just need someone on the end of
Semedo - 7.5 Another solid perofrmance
Racon - 6.5 Quiet game, was everywhere vs MK, maybe that took it out of him
Reid - 5 Poor, missed chances, didn't beat his man enough rightly subbed
Shelvey - 5.5 Missed chances which could've cost us.
Forster - 6 Worked hard but he;s not big enough to win much in the air
Thought Sam and Richardson teamed up very well down the right hand side. They both put some blinding balls into the box that should've been assists. Sodje and Mooney looked sharp after coming on.
View from a couple of Carlisle fans that I met after the game was that the challenge on Price was a 'stonewall penalty', and that Sam was probably our best player.
Randolph - 6 Nothing much to do, good distrubution early mix ups communicating with defence but no risk
Richardson - 7.5 Got forward well, linked up with Sam well while giving little away at the back
Borrowdale - 7 Good corners and defensive work
S Sodje - 8 MOM Not just for the goal but strong all day and a well timed last ditch tackle on just about the only time they got behind us.
Dailly - 6.5 Steady but for a wild slash at the ball and a few poor headers
Sam - 7 Willing to attack them more than recently and put his foot in a lot in the middle
Semedo - 8 Very strong but the booking seemed to in his mind as tackles less robust after.
Racon - 7.5 Much more like the old Racon
Reid - 6.5 Not his best. Found space but to often couldn't take the ball with him or blasted wide. Like his work rate and defensive play
Shelvey - 6 Backed him for first and last goal but won't hold his terrible miss against him ; - ) Stayed up the pitch more than in previous games which helped but lacked that sharpness you expect from him.
Forster - 6.5 Didn't see much of the ball but was always looking for space and when he did get the ball tried to make things happen.
Bailey - 7 Good cameo and could have scored
A Sodje - 7.5 Frightened them and was much more physical. Some very strong runs. Hope he keeps that up
Mooney - 7 Good passing and use of space.

Ah right thanks, makes sense, as Jonjo wouldn't have been interfering with play. The BBC thought it was for an infringement, neatly ignoring the man holding the flag out in front of himself...

Sam - 6.5 - Some decent crosses in the second half that we didn't get onto. My dad would have liked to see Wagstaff on, but Sam did something he doesn't, he kept possession well as well as worrying the Carlisle defenders. Looks like he has a bit more confidence back so he isn't just going for the safe option.
Semedo - 7.5 - Good game but shame about the yellow card. If he can get through Southampton without a card I think the card count 'resets' doesn't it?
Racon - 6 - Seemed to close down and work a bit harder than he has done, but wouldn't say he had a good or poor game, usual nice moments as well as going unnoticed for a bit.
Reid - 6 - A threat but didn't really come to anything in the end.
Shelvey - 5.5 - He did have a poor game, not just for the finishes, but he seemed slow to anticipate and react to things. That should improve with match fitness and experience though. Ideally he'd play with Burton or even Akpo, and not Forster. In open games when the likes of Southampton, Norwich and Leeds attack us, the space will open up and we will see his quality more often.
Forster - 6 - Not his ideal role, like Shelvey would like to see him alongside Burton. Good leap for his height though of course he's just not a physical enough player to win many headers.
Bailey - 6.5 - Did quite well when he came on
A Sodje - 6.5 - A nuisance as he can be when playing well, shame about his disallowed goal.
Mooney - 6.5 - Some good moments, people moan about him but at this level he's useful in the right games. He's an intelligent player but it doesn't always show with the lack of a physical side to his game and with him perhaps not being consistent enough.
We did the job but not much more so didn't want to go over the top with the ratings. As I said, against the better teams we'll be attacked far more and space will open up for the likes of Sam and Shelvey, so just because we weren't convincing against Carlisle doesn't mean we'll definitely struggle against the better sides.

All subs did well. Nice to see Mooney prepared to hold the ball, fending off tackles until he was ready to give a vg pass
