??/27

How many points out of the 27 available to us are we realistically able to obtain?

We are only 4 away from Leeds and 1 from Millwall. Mathematically 2nd place is more than doable.

  • I'll go with 13 max.

On current form not very many..but then again this is Charlton and anything could happen.

Maybe 15 points at a push
  • if we go on the statistics from the rest of the season we will win 4, draw 3 and lose 2 that is 15/27 so also means Millwall can only achieve 13/27 and leeds only 10/27 for us to get 2nd place, still assuming Swindon also don't get any more than 15. but who knows we could do better...
  • Any stats go out the window at this stage of the season, going to be some odd results over the coming weeks.
  • I really don't think it's worth trying to predict anything other than Huddersfield this weekend, which is most certainly a must not lose game
  • HTFC - Lose
    MK - Draw
    Carlisle - Win
    Soton - Lose
    CUFC - Win
    Norwich - Lose
    Exeter - Win

lets hope that Millwall have their usual end of season slump
  • Swindon have an nice run in though
  • They do. I could see them going to the Den with a 2/3 point advantage. You'd maybe fancy Millwall to beat them though.

That might be enough for us to sneak over the line then, hard run in may be just what we need to keep the concentration going
  • for me leeds next 4 games are all winnable

where as i can see us and millwall only winning 2 or 3

swindon also have 4 winnable games

going to be out of them 2 for the 2nd spot

  • Every club will see all their games are winnable, NLA.

But Leeds haven't always done so well lately against the Walsalls and Hartlepools of this world.

I think you'd do better to worry about OUR usual end of season slump!
  • Yeovil v Leeds United,
    Leeds United v Southend,
    Carlisle v Leeds United,
    Gillingham v Leeds United

good next 4 games though ogg

    Charlton v Carlisle,
    Southampton v Charlton,
    Charlton v Colchester,
    Charlton v Norwich,

not so easy mate if we take 9 points from those 4 games we will have a chance, unfortunatley we needed to have a cusion coming into those games and we havent i fear the pressure will be too much for our boys

    true
  • I agree on paper, it looks difficult for us and easy for Leeds, NLA - but ..........

....... Apart from when we bottled the game at The Toolbox, we've stood up well against most of the better sides.
    Perhaps we raise our game?

Those 3 away games for Leeds are at awkward places and each of those clubs has decent home records.

This is not the time of the season to play the relegation battlers, they really dig in because of their desperation - even Yeovil are only 4 points from safety, so they'll also fight for precious points.

At best I reckon Leeds get 7 points from those 4 games.

if we look above at Ashtray's predictions (which made perfect sense at the time) we are already doing better than expected

    12 points.
up by 3, which is all positive. I hope Charlton do what they should be doing and play their own games and not worry about the others, just concentrate on getting the most points they can.
  • 7/27 , get in there!!!

    COYR!
  • still only 7/27, still we're only 5th however there are still 15 points up for grabs teams above us can still slip up. I haven't given up yet. After all we was always going to lose today.
