    Bailey -5 Was he playing?
Reid -6.5 Faded away second half otherwise another man of the match award....SAM take note
Mooney -3 truly, truly awful performance, makes me realise anyone can become a pro footballer
A Sodje - 6 a lot of huff and puff, well taken goal, should have scored again
Solly - 5 Tried his best on the wrong side of the pitch

Match rating.4 The second half was the most boring game Ive seen in many a year
Stockport fans 8 for coming to watch the worst side Ive seen at the Valley since I dont remember when.
Charlton fans 4 I cannot believe how far we have fallen, the atmosphere was more akin to a morgue again....but we got three points....

  • Elliot - 6 Missed one cross but otherwise don't think he had an actual shot to save
Richardson - 6 An assist and a few sky high clearances
Dailly - 6.5 Solid but rarely under pressure
Llera - 5 Thought he was poor. Push around by Ibere (who also turned him in the box) and at fault for the mix up with Elliot
Jackson - 7 Real miss as we lost the best passer on the pitch
Sam - 5 Started off well but faded and especially after he took a heavy tackle. Seemed to lack conviction when the ball ran to him on the corner of the box 2nd half and he blasted wide.
Racon - 4 Poor. Passing was off and didn't dominate the way he should have
Bailey - 5 Not at the races. Hardly seemed involved and when he was rarely made an incisive pass or run
Reid - 7.5 aggressive, fast, attacking, an assist and a real outlet all day. Also does a look of work closing down and tracking back. Another loan player who doesn't care!
A Sodje - 7 Another goal well taken, worked hard with little quality service.
Mooney - 6 Not terrible but rarely used the space he had to hurt them
Solly - 7 Under little pressure but got caught out a few times from free kicks placed out wide. On his wrong side

Wagstaff - energy and direct play
Burton - Missed his hold up play and intelligence.
  • Elliot - 6
    Richardson - 5
    Dailly - 7.5
    Llera - 7
    Jackson - 6.5
    Sam - 6
    Racon - 7.5

    A Sodje - 6.5
    Mooney - 5.5
    Solly - 6
  • Elliot - 6 - Nothing really to do but the odd small mistake
Richardson - 6 - Can do a lot better but again nothing bad
    Dailly - 6 - Was ok
    Llera - 6 - Same as Dailly
Jackson - 6 Again was ok
Sam - 5.5 - He is trying, but he's lost confidence and belief. He shouldn't be doing exactly what Reid's doing, different type of player, but he's taking the safe option too often because he doesn't want to make a mistake. Not doing much wrong, but not much right either. We need to get the ball to him more often (and Richardson perhaps).
Racon - 6 - Ok but not tested either.
Bailey - 6 - Again ok but not tested, passing still a bit dodgy.
Reid - 7 - Our man of the match, always a threat, growing in confidence and it's taken pressure off Sam. Now we have a proper threat and outlet down the left. Would be interesting seeing him play with Youga.
A Sodje - 6 - Good to see him score again, just a decent performance though.
Mooney - 6 - Can see what he's trying to do at times, but he can't always pull it off or other players aren't on the same wave length.
Solly - 6 - Not tested, did fine, but is uncomfortable on the left once he gets the ball. It limits his options so he ends up just going for a simple pass or long ball. Obviously don't want Richardson injured, but I'm looking forward to when the time comes that Solly gets a run in the side on the right, still inexperienced but he should get there in time.

  • Elliott - 6, one very nervous moment when he dropped the ball, and he and Llera were definitely at odds both blaming each other for the incident.
Richardson - 6.5, competent, but sometimes played the ball too far and lost it.
Dailly - 7, excellent game, getting back to being Mr. Consistent.
Llera - 6.5, strong in defence, but a few errors.
Jackson - 7, good game and linked up well with Reid ... hope the injury is not too bad and he is ok for Millwall.
Sam - 5.5, not his best game and rightfully taken off, drifted in far too much.
Racon - 6, at times he was great, and others he was woeful. Will the real Therry Racon please stand up.
Bailey - 6, fairly good game, cut off a few attacks, but not at his best.
Reid - 7.5, man of the match, he is so strong and effective, breaking up attacks from opposition and then leading our own.
Sodje - 6.5, scored for the 3rd consecutive game so I should be positive ... but I still feel his overall game should improve ... but what the heck, if he scores again next week, who cares ;-)
Mooney - 5.5, still proving to be lightweight, but there are instances when you know he can produce something.
Solly - 6, ok, nothing special, but he is being played out of position so I should be generous.
  • Elliot - 5 Took his eye off the ball for the fumble. Was at fault for not commanding the Llera incident. Kicking not the best (it used to be much better)
Richardson - 5 Alarming loss of form. Consistently runs into defenders and emerges without the ball and out of position.
Dailly - 7.5 Quiet day and coped well
Llera - 7 Had a tough game with Ibehre who is a handful at this level - I thought did well considering
Jackson - 7 Offers lovely balance and a sweet left foot. Great link ups with Reidy. REALLY hope this injury isn't bad
Sam - 5 Pants. Again. Really needs to sort his fitness out. If he's out of contract in the summer surely he should be trying to earn a new contract eithere here or somewhere else...
Racon - 6.5 Better performance imo - but I think Shelvey would have maybe made more of the time and space we were given in the middle
Bailey - 6 Pretty anonymous for me
Reid - 8 My MOM again. Pacy, direct and a good delivery. Some say he's too greedy but we've not had a player like him for a long time and he excites me. Would love to be able to keep him and he seems pretty happy back down here
A Sodje - 6 Busy start and looked well up for it. Anonymous for much of the game after his goal (not alone in that though!!)
Mooney - 5.5 Intelligent runs and positioning - good interplay but really needs to be stronger sometimes.
Solly - 6.5 Still very young and inexperienced and played out of position. I say fair play to the lad.

All in all I can't think of a more boring match. As soon as it went 2-0 I said to the guys next to me we would take our foot off the gas now and so it was proven with a boring display within themselves.
Whilst a 2-0 is a nice result I think Stockport were ripe for an absolute battering Saturday and we missed that opportunity

  • Elliot - 6.5 Not his best game
Richardson - 6 Good runs forward but seems to get lost before releasing it.
    Dailly - 7 Solid
Llera - 6.5 Not at his best
Jackson - 6.5 Linked well with Reid before getting subbed.
Sam - 6 Quiet for allot of the game
Racon - 7 Played well, hopefully getting a bit of form back.
Bailey - 6.5 Quiet game by his standards.
Reid - 8 Class above Stockport
A Sodje - 7 Good header for the goal.
Mooney - 6 Quiet, was too greedy with a shot that should have been cut-back.
Solly - 6 Tidy, just worry that he's too small.
  • Elliot - 6 One lovely throw to Reid but a couple of shaky moments
Richardson - 6.5 Steady hardworking player makes the odd ricket but never hides and gives his all
Dailly - 8 Looked like his old commanding self. My MOM
Llera - 7.5 Good steady performance
Jackson - 7 linked well with Reid. I hope his injury his not too serious
Sam - 6 Subdued yest still managed to be involved in our second goal
Racon - 6 Went missing too much for my liking
Bailey - 6.5 Had to play a more defensive role especially once Jackson went off so not as effective as he can be. A few misplaced passes too but never hides.
Reid - 8 Close run thing with Christian for my MOM. Disappeared for a while in the second half otherwise he would have been my MOM
A Sodje - 7.5 Ungainly, awkward looking but effective and hardworking.
Mooney - 7 Best work was done off the ball his intelligent runs creating space for others
Solly - 6 Not a left back but stuck at it manfully
  • Elliot - 6 one horrible drop on a cross, otherwise not tested much and pretty solid.
Richardson - 5.5 Looks great charging forward, until, inevitably he loses the ball; but a lovely assist for the second goal justified the approach.
Dailly - 7.5 kept his head when all around them were losing theirs.
Llera - 5.5 some horrible mistakes after 70 solid minutes
    Jackson - 6
Sam - 5 GET ONTO THE WING
    Racon - 6.5
Bailey - 7.5 Misplaced passes, but god does he work
Reid - 7.5 Sometimes tries to do a bit too much
    Mooney - 5.5
A Sodje - 6.5 Powerful finish, but not enough else.
    Burton - 6
    Solly - 6.5
    Wagstaff- 6

Basicaly tis was alacklustre win, in which it was difficult not to beat Sockport, but we tried. Once again the main threat came through Reid. Thoug I only gave him a 5 I will mention Solly for sticking to his job even though it is obvious he is uncomfrtable playing on the left. This was a game where Sam failed to make an impact when he houl have. Once again Bailey wayward cross field passes put the team under unnecessaru pressue he has to sort this out soon.

Richardson - 4 assist but otherwise poor
    Dailly - 6
    Llera - 6.5
    Jackson - 6
    Sam - 6
Racon - 7.5 Always trying to be positive but poor movement in front of him
Bailey - 5 Anonymous, didn't ask to play holding role but not as good as Semedo
    Reid - 7 Good 1st half, missed Jackson's support
    A Sodje - 7 Battled well
    Mooney - 5 Poor
Solly - 4 Out of his depth, needs to pass rather than kick

Despite the clean sheet I've marked the defense down a point because they play too deep. At one stage in the 2nd half the ball went towards a Stockport player just outside his box. The back four had pushed up near the half-way line but before the ball even reached their guy, our defence retreated 10 yards.
