    Hiya ketman

I am indeed a resident of the Costa Del Sittingbourne! There's quite a few Palace round here. I moved here from London about 4 years as we did'nt fancy bringing up our kids in the london, and the wife's family are down here.

I bet I'd be as welcome as fart in a space suit in charlton clique! Are you lad who sometimes spins the tunes in the Red Lion?
  • I am indeed SOS.

So what do you think of Sittingbourne? Preferred Rainham down the road myself until I had to move last year.
  • I will be temporarily residing in Sittingbourne close to my favourite pub down there - THe Bobbing Apple.
I do like the Costa Del Sittingbourne - has character by the bucketloads.
  • It's pretty different to Putney! It took a bit of getting used to , we lived in Milton to start with but have now moved across town to just off Park road(I've got a couple of decent pubs I can walk to now so I'm happy!) I think it's a pretty basic town although it does seem to be getting a bit better with places like the vineyard opening up. What the place really needs is an italian restaurant! The Red Lion seem's like the only decent pub in the high street.

Hey and at least it's not sheerness!
  • The Bobbing Apple is Quality.

Character is not quite how I'd describe it though. More like Chatham meets Faversham...
  • SOS you are so right, the High street is starting to brighten up a bit although Chavspoons is crap, like the Vineyard though. I hear they are considering re-opening the Club that was called JJ's down by the wetherspoons. Sittingbourne sooo needs a club. Best off out of Milton fella done the right thing there mate. As for Sheerness do not even go there.......
  • WAHEY

Bobbing Apple is the dogs dangly bits.

Last time I went there was for dinner and to watch the Croatia v England game.
This was prior to my job interview.
Best preperation I tell thee - i got the job!
    lol

Spent many a night in the travelodge next to it. Then bloody trains.........

One of the best nights was going to see the dogs on the outskirts of CDS.
Can't even remember where it was but it was a quality evening.

Never been to faversham yet but been to Chatham, Strood, Rochester and Maidstone.

I get the feeling I'm up for a top education over the next few months.........

I never been to Thanet yet.......

    Manchester Addick
  • Oh yes I was taken to the Isle of SHeppey.

    I felt ill afterwards.

    Seriously.
  • Thing is the people who live on the Isle of Sheppey genuinely believe it is the best place in the world to live !

Remember, you should respect the ref.
  • He can't be any worse than Rob Styles was for us at home to Plymouth. Think he booked about 11 players, most of them for fairly innocuous stuff, but didn't book the bloke who put Todorov out for the season.
  • let's blame the ref for our own shortcomings just like rafa benitez
