Last night the player cam was on Sam for 15 mins. Just pick a player and watch
him for 15 mins Last night Sam so frustrating I guess the pitch did not
help his style but he seems to walk around with a sack of bricks on his back
and unless the ball rolls past within 10 foot he dint seem to think it was his job to get the ball
switched player cam off after 10 as was windingme up
switched to widescreen and wish I'd not bothered
just one simple question do they actualy train as a team like talk to each
other etc as Brighton did seem to well play as one and we frankly
looked a shambles
well moan over time to pack up and move on to sarfend with two days
for parky to weave some magic

but why did we take him off at half time without replacing him
It was 18 mins before Sam took the ball wide and tried to beat the defender without coming inside after 6 attempts at cutting inside
on 23 mins Sam had been out of position 4 times for Lleras cross field pass and the ball landed infront of him by 5 yds and went out
on 36 mins Sam had failed another 5 attempts at cutting inside
on 43 mins Sam hit the touch line went past the defender and cut inside about 5 yds in from the by line he gets fouled inside the box by a worried full back but doesnt get the pen, but scared the shite out of the defender
41 mins done his silly grin and shrugged his shoulders.
oh.
He just lacks movement in his play, whether it's getting into the box onto crosses/through balls or running up the wing (where he instead prefers to come and get the ball offer our right back). Very different to Wagstaff who does all that, but doesn't have the quick feet or keep posession as well.
then why was richardson playing or even attempting to go forward.
Maybe none of them go in the box because they know he is going to cut inside.
Look like it or not the mgmt of the team have been working on him to get wide stay wide and beat the full back not constantly come inside before he reaches him,
You can not keep defending him,
Reid had a shocker but he never hid like Sam does, he tried to beat his man a put a cross in i have said it before any cross into the box that has a defender facing his own goal is more dangerous than an attempt to cut inside leaving the defender facing the attacker, invariably in most games the defender blocks the ball from sam or tackles him and then has the freedom to run past him at our goal.
He is our biggest problem on the pitch at the moment
