Back to the fortress, back to the great atmosphere, back to the continued support, back to The Valley…
Hmmm.
Yeovil tomorrow could very well be the turning or the breaking point both for the team and our promotion ambitions as well as the fans’ patience. It’s not going to be pretty I fear if we don’t turn it on from the off.
Despite having an excellent home record this season, we have simply not been clicking (copy and paste from previous 10 match previews) as a unit and really need to turn it on, both for team confidence and fan confidence.
Let’s get this straight though, there are over 350 games left to be played in League One this season and plenty of points for everyone to play for, whether it is fighting off relegation, making a push for play offs or consolidating the top spot and teams are going to continue taking points off of each other regardless. The question is whether or not we can go on a sustained run and take advantage of other teams’ (Leeds) bad run(s).
I think tomorrow we will line up with two wingers in Reid and Sam, have Bailey and Semedo in the centre and play Akpo and Burton up front (even though I think Leon should get a chance). We will also welcome a new JJ in at left back.
We need and win and we will get a win. A 3-0 one at that.

If Burton is having another Shocker then drag him for McKenzie. Same for Semedo/Racon and stick Bailey back into the midfield three and bring on Shelvey behind the striker.
Leeds will draw 0-0, Norwich will lose 0-1 and all will be rosy again.
We will be back in the top 2 by 9.45 next Friday.
Have faith.

Maybe your superstitious pessimism isnt actually working at the moment.
Unless you are actually thinking it... :)
Not worried whether it's a thumping 5-0 or a flukey 95th minute in off Akpo's bum - just need the win.
The superstition was to predict defeats but that went after Orient.
I'm now calling it as I see it and sadly I don't feel terribly optimistic after Monday night...
''in off Akpo's bum''...
Now that would make a truly great title if anyone is thinking of launching a new Charlton fanzine !!!

Shelvey for Spring in the team. Spring for Racon on the bench but otherwise I'd go with that I think.
I put Spring in for some height in the midfield...
Shelvey is taller than Spring isn't he?
More importantly, we need a good PERFORMANCE (in both halves) and keep the ball on the pitch and pass it around, hopefully get some "Olays" from the crowd!
Also, hope to see Shelvey come OFF the bench for a good 30 minutes to mess with Yeovil in the last third of the game.
I don't know what will happen tomorrow, we might carry on playing like we have leading to Yeovil getting an early goal and the crowd turn. Or we come out fighting and if we can get an early goal it will calm everyone down.

Or maybe Shelvey in place of either Semedo or Racon
Anyone think we can score twice? Not sure about that either. Likely outcome 1-1 but with a bit of luck perhaps 2-1.
Yes shelvey is taller but spring would win more headers IMO
Spring would control the game better than Shelvey also.

COME ON YOU REDS!!!
BRE's team for me though I'd really consider Shelvey over Racon. Maybe even Spring for Semedo as well.
