Probably the first time I've ever heard someone with a flask and blanket being referred to as part of "a mob"
  • The good thing about this fixture in my experience (and its been a while since we have had to go to that shitehole) is that generally speaking our support doesnt contain that element (not that the flask and blanket mob is a bad thing before I get lynched)
  • A Millwall mate tells me that their tickets are selling fast and reckons this will easily be their biggest home crowd of the season. A lot of their home areas are sold out already (most likely the blocks nearest the away end so their chavs can chuck coins at us).
No surprise really though, seeing as this is their cup final.

But still they dont care about us ;-)

Have we got the maximum allocation ? Both Leeds and Norwich had 'the whole end' everyone else gets just the top bit.

I get pissed off that people who may go all over the country would miss this . If we can sell out 3,000 plus at Orient for a night game in August ( the main holiday season ) then why struggle to sell a similar number at the Toolbox which is easier to get to for 90% of our supporters ?

Our players would be boosted by a sea of red behind the Goal , we can't be put off by their hooligan fringe . This game is becoming more important its one where we need to get behind the Addicks.

By the way I'm probably a Flask man myself

Their supporters are at least treating the fixture with the respect it deserves it's a shame our fans do not after all it is our only TRUE Derby match.
  • I'll be there, hope everyone here will be too.... after all by the time this comes around we'll probably need to beat them to go ahead of them!

Leeds were only allowed the top bit and took 1993 there apparently.
Norwich were allowed the bottom tier as well but didn't sell it all and took 2865.
Only other team who needed the bottom tier was AFC Wimbledon in the cup, they took nearly 3.5k.

I posted on another thread that "As i understand it their away end holds 4k but the maximum we can get is 3.5k as they put netting on either side of the bottom tier. Our initial allocation of 2.2k is the top tier. If we want more we just ask for them."

"A Millwall mate says" = So we believe what Millwall fans say now

"Selling fast" - even if true by their standards that means not very much.

Stop worrying and fretting over a crowd for a game a month away.

I do when he's been my mate for years.

Anyone who wants a ticket for this one will get it....crowd will not be over 16k, they may be selling tickets fast, but given they only have a few thousand season ticket holders, that's to be expected.

Very much seconded. In fact we could do oursleves a favour and voluntarily ban all threads about it until it's the NEXT match.

Why? As Ketman pointed out it is our only true derby match ... derby games are always talked about in advance ... they are the games that should be most anticipated.

it's the biggest game of the season so I think people are quite entitled to be talking about it already!

Yeah, i mean Yeovil at home really gets the adrenalin pumping.
  • Good news after the Gillingham nightmare.
  • The match fine but why worry about a crowd so far in advance?

  • Because our away support numbers are pretty pathetic and it would be good if everyone showed at the Toolbox otherwise all the local chavs will never stop going on about how we all crapped ourselves and stayed at home.

I can do without the hassle but am going.
