Just looked at the table

edited February 2010 in General Charlton
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I have just looked at the table and nearly fell of my chair. I have been quite naive over the past weeks and only looked from 3rd upwards.

We have a big problem if we dont do something in these 15 games! This is just like the season when we got relegated to the fizzy pop. We where there or there abouts then dropped like a stone!

Come on Parky and the boys pull yourself together!

  • Yea im allot more nervous about others catching us up now. We will get playoffs at the best at this rate. with others below us having better rescent form than us i think your right my friend.
  • Wrong, at this rate we won't make playoffs
  • Neither will Leeds if they continue their current form to the end of the season

And? What a great comfort it will be to miss out on the play offs as long as Leeds miss out as well!
  • I'm confident that we will make 8th this season !!

No way will will go up in the top 2 and now unlikely we will finish in the top 6. Once everyone play their games in hand and we play them at their places (Millwall, Huddersfield & MK dons) then we will be out of the play off places and any chance of promotion gone.

Before xmas I thought there was no way we would finish out of the top 4 and fairly confident we could be in the top 2, esp as we still had the top guns to play at home. Now I firmly believe that both Leeds & Norwich will seal promotion at the Valley (now, wont THAT be exciting to see & hear) - which will be fitting for Norwich as 12 months earlier we sent them down........they then sacked their manager and brought someone new in !!!!!!!!!!!!

    I didnt say that.

Just making a point that we're not the only team "in the sh*t" at the moment and the fact that there are about 360 games left to go in the league means that not every team can pick up 3 points every week.
  • At the risk of sounding like the Oggster, if you look at the table, you will also see that nobody has lost fewer games than us...

Difference between us and those now above us is that we have fewer home wins and too many draws at the Valley.

If we can halt the run of form that's given us one win in the last five home games and grind out victories against Yeovil and Brighton, then this time next week we will be right back in it.

Sadly, current form suggests we will drop points in at least one of these very winnable games...

    You're right wss.
even though we usually have an end of season dip in form, i think we're safe from the drop;-)
