    Close but no cigar

Bill Dodgin Snr and Bert Tann (played 19 games in the late 30s glory years) are correct.

Tann's replacement is the missing name. He played alongside him at Charlton but wasn't his coach or assistant. He was then replaced by Dodgin.

    It was Rayner.

One of the Bristol Rovers' managers was Bert Tanner, who, I think, managed Rovers for about 20 years. My father talked about his Charlton days and either played against him or said he was a useless player.

[Edit: After struggling for his name for an hour, I see that LenGlover has got this already and, more to the point, has got it right - Bert Tann, of course]

Fred Ford was the missing manager and we scored 52 goals last season.
