Why won't little dave lockwood play some ska?? If he plays that bloody matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs song once more my head will explode!
A post entitled When are the incompetent board going to sort the ground out? Will have NSS defending the board and claim that the users of the forum are moany old men who are always too negative. Miserable youngish git will agree but won't get the capitals to work properly on his typewriter.
Small Addick and Putting Green Addick think Andy Nelson should be sacked and Lawrie Abrahams is the worst striker they have ever seen.
Black Sapling Reds posts about a traumatic experience when Conservative leader Margaret Thatcher nicked his milk on a visit to his school. Gooner slightly disliker sympathises and hopes it won't have a lasting impact on his political views.
Seth Plum has been moaning about Rodney Stone for some unknown reason....
It's just as well my Dad took me to the Valley in the 1950s because we were in the Division then so I remember what it was like to see Charlton playing the big teams every week. And now we've been scuffling about in the lower reaches of the 2nd Division for 20 years, with three seasons in the 3rd Division as well.
I've only made it to 4 or 5 matches this season because we have 3 pre-school kids at home, but even without that it hasn't been a very tempting season to go more often. In the last match of the season (v Oldham at home) manager Any Nelson wrote in the programme - "As we go into our last match with our Second Division future uncertain I would like to explain to you the club's position on some of the problems we have faced. I understand some of the frustrations and disappointments of supporters and realise the difficulties of following a club when you cannot influence what happens. I do not want to make excuses for our present osition but it is fair to say we have had a crippling injury list.........................aware we could go down...........I understand the frustrations of supporters at this time but cannot understand the actions of a small group who seem to want to deliberately destroy the club...............if we do get relegated the most important thing is to bounce straight back.................let's look to the future together and I'm sure we can overcome our present difficulties"
I would have been thinking, when my sons get old enough to come to Charlton they probably won't want to come because the club will either be dead or have lost all chance of returning to the big time. They will never see the club in the top flight like I have.
Well, that was 30 years ago, and I couldn't have been more wrong.................. Where will the club be in 2040 after another 30 years have gone by?

Yeah right, and Wimbledon will win the FA Cup.
Like it
a bit like that new film. grease i think it's called.
He was a brilliant runner in his time - won two Olympic medals
RIP
(They ought to make a film about him)
European Player of the Year!
At last!!!!
He was robbed of it by that Danish bloke last year. Allan-Simon something. Can't stand him - hope he never comes to play in England.
(And someone would've done a Would Ya for Princess Leia)
Thank heavens that hideous punk noise seems to have run its course. Let's get the Who back at the Valley for another concert!

Still, I get him back, when I write down the final scores every Saturday from World of Sport for him.............I make them up ;-)
I hate older brothers :-(
Why doesn't Jimmy Seed build a new stand behind the Uncovered End......?
Still painting & decorating for his Dad?
He'd be better off signing for Palace.
At least the £650 thousand would pay the other players wages for the end of the season.
And we could always replace him with Laurie Abraham.
I'll probably get shot down for this.
