  • 13 corners and not even 1 goal from a corner kick. that stat really upsets me and i hope they can work on capitalizing on those opps.

We did score from a corner against Tranmere. Perhaps we missed Basey's delivery v Wallsall?

Since i have been a charlton fan, we have never been that successful at corners. we score from about 1 a season

We've scored plenty this year, I can think of about 5 off the top of my head. I'm convinced there's more though. Come on AFKA how many we scored from corners?
  • Well Dailly's was from a corner, all 3 of Sam Sodje 's where weren't they? Llera has 3, 2 were from corners weren't they? Bailey the other day I think? One from Akpo Sodje as well? Might be a few more not sure.

Mark Hudson scored from Jonjo's corner, first minute, first match last season.
And the year before, Magic Bougherra scored against Blackpool from Ambrose's corner.

And against QPR at The Valley in Feb 1968, Paul Went pulled a goal back to make it 3-2, direct from Keith Peacock's corner in the 87th minute.

    Does that count?

    ;o)
  • well up until this season there hasn't been many, oggy i was born in 1987 lol 1968 does not count for me!

Had feeling people will prove me wrong on that one, as only been 7 times this season, cant remember us scoring from corners in any of them? also went even less last season but whenever me and my cousin used to go from about 2000-2006 we averaged aout 1-2 goals a season, so my opinon is we aren't much of a threat from corners
  • We did have about 18 months in the Prem when we failed to score from a corner
  • [cite]Posted By: LenGlover[/cite]We did have about 18 months in the Prem when we failed to score from a corner
Though we scored a fair few when Di Canio and Jensen were taking them in 03/04.

Yeah, was gonna say this myself - seem to remember we scored more goals from set-pieces than anyone else that season.
