[cite]Posted By: johnpaul5[/cite]Does anyone else think this guy should be playing (as we are paying) - it rhymes!
Only if he's good enough .... and we don't have anyone better in his position
I'd say not ahead of richardson tbh, but seems like a bit much we are paying for a back up. maybe give him a couple of games or bring him on and see how he does? i reckon he will still be going out on loan, dont think he is part of parky's plans
Yassin said in January 2009 "it is over for me". Still true now. Hopefully we'll get him out on an "emergency loan". We took right back (from Maidstone?) for the Welling game instead of playing Yassin and as said he doesn't have a squad number.
What I dont understand is if i have a member of staff that threatens and attempts to physically abuse another member of my staff. I fire them rip up the contract and that's the end of that.
In this case the only reason i can think of for not doing that would be in the hope of getting a fee for selling this numptie.
Same goes for Moronic McCleod, when he comes back - fire the dumb ass for discipline reasons and hopefully put clauses in all new contracts so we dont get in the same position again.
Lets face it we will never get a fee for Yassin or Moronic McCleod they are millstones around our necks, we dont need in our current position.
If the Club could have just ripped up the contracts I suspect they would have, as no doubt would other clubs in similar circumstances.
Just not possible with the contracts that exist in football. Wrong maybe but that's the way it is. I don't think waiting to get a fee comes into it either.
Football world is changing, below the Premier League at least, and I don't think many players will getting long contracts any more at most clubs. A 18 month or 2 year deal will seen as something quite desirable and long term for many players.

presumably Moutakil hasn't done anything wrong as if he had committed any form of misconduct - gross or not - we would have done just that and ripped up his contract
We don't know exactly what's happened either. Have read on here about Yassin challenging players to fights, sleeping with a players mum and stamping/attacking a player. Might just be his general attitude rather than anything more which you obviously can't just rip up a contract for.
[cite]Posted By: I-SAW-POUSO-PLAY[/cite]Jim Gannon has just been named manager of Peterboro so maybe he will bring Yassin there after having him at Motherwell?
It's a thought ....... Izale McLeod can big up Moo2, reminding everybody that Yassin the Assassin was once France U-21 captain.
[quote][cite]Posted By: johnpaul5[/cite]Does anyone else think this guy should be playing (as we are paying) - it rhymes![/quote] I'm less than convinced by Richardson who I feel flatters to deceive (as does Yassin, to be fair), but I think that Yassin's exile isn't entirely for on-field reasons, as has been wildly speculated on, elsewhere. Also, he may be eligible for certain bonuses if he plays, so it might not be as straightforward as giving him a game since we have to cover his wage.
It's almost certainly not just on the field reasons. If he had the right attitude we'd have surely played him. We must have others on similar money but they do a good job for the team.
Well he still has a year left on his contract and lets face it who's going to buy him? A lot of people on other Charlton boards are suggesting we just play him next and forget about whatever it is he's supposed to of done?
But then that got me thinking? Maybe the reason he doesn't play is because he has an appearance fee clause or possibly a goal bonus clause that we could simply not afford should he reach a certain number of appearances or score a goal. If this isn't the case and we can't shift him in the summer I think we should play him.

It would interesting to find out if this is the case - or not?
Fanny Jeffers couldn't make that 20th appearance for Charlton without triggering the next payment instalment.
Which was how Charlton paid (only!) £500K for him rather than a full fee reputed to be around £2.6 million.
Yassin is like our Winston Bogarte (the Chelsea guy). No one wants him yet he carries on picking up a very good wage despite being pony. Can't wait to see the back of him, the little parasite. A club in our position paying a player like him so much is a joke.

He's clearly not 'pony'.
At this level he would be a very useful player but it soon became clear that for non-footballing reasons he would not be playing for us this season.
If nobody will buy him then I'm sure a fair few fans - having seen what Parky can do at this level would like to move him on and give Moo2 the chance to see what he can do.
Can someone not parcel him up and send him to Paris loaded up with a drug that makes him forget who he is and what he does so he never darkens our halls again??
I know off-field reasons and wages may dictate otherwise, but sticking him on the right wing might be a good idea seeing as we're gonna lose all our midfielders...

I hadn't heard.
But having been many times to Abertawe (or Abattoir, as we used to call it) myself, I don't blame him for not wanting to go there either.
;o)

Moo2 doesn't even have a squad number, so I guess he's as good as on gardening leave.
YM has a bad attitude and PP doesn't want him to distrupt the squad.
Regardless of that issue, I can't understand why so many people rate him. IMO he's been poor whenever he's played.

I think someone has already given Parky a drug that makes him forget who Yassin is.
