when our resident reuters, oohaahmortimer broke the news of bents injury, he said that he was definately out for 6 weeks and that we would know in 4 weeks if he will be out for the rest of the season.
it was always gonna be an uphill struggle to stay up but without bent we know it's impossible.
could the club actually know now that bent is out for the season? if they do then (imo) they have no option but to cash in and sign players that will give it their all to stay up.if we go down they can either stay for the promotion push or be sold, but they must not be players that will decrease dramaticaly in value. this will ensure that we are not put in the position of paying £2m+ for players only for them to be worth £500k in 6 months time (again).
whatever we do get for bent, ipswich get 25% of don't they? so the touted £12m is really only £9m. and that wil probably come in installments.
sorry if this is titanic/tumbleweed
