Why not lower priced tickets for Monday?

And for other matches come to think of it. The thought occurred to me on Tuesday night that while the North Stand was reasonably full, the West and the East were fairly sparsely populated. Surely, as part of our post match drinking discussion went, paying the 22-25 quid to watch a mid-week division three match was a bit over priced?

Given that people are even less likely to turn up for a Sky TV match on a weekday, and given the importance of every single match we play this season, surely its about getting bums on seats?

I know the club would love everyone to but a half season ticket but given the financial climate, why not offer the occasional game for a fiver for adults and a quid for kid.

  • People with season tickets will moan, innit?

I think they'd like to. There's already an announcement out about frozen season ticket prices for next year and 5 year options. I don't think we get a raw deal.

True, a great initiative as it is I just wonder whether we could get some Charlton fans in who might otherwise decide to stay at home and watch on the telly. Getting kids in is always great but there will be many who won't make the trip.

I'm not talking about selling cheap tickets for every game, but when SKY turn up and shift our games around like a game of draughts, the club could kill two birds and get fans in who might otherwise give it a miss and also get a decent crowd in for the cameras. 10000 empty seats or fill as many of them as you can. Fiver in, quid for kids.
  • Unfortunately VFR, I think we'll struggle to get a decent crowd on Monday night no matter what the club do, so i just hope the fans who do make it, are as loud and positive as possible!

We've given about the same number of schools tickets away as we usually do - 1,030 across 21 different schools - it just happens that they are focused on Greenwich for this match, so the offer may be more apparent to people living in the borough.
  • Matches like this are a great way to get kids in and hooked for the future...

    Need to speculate to accumulate...
