[cite]Posted By: stonemuse[/cite]Leeds in cup next week, If we beat Hartlepool Tuesday, and us and Norwich win Saturday, all three teams on equal points.
That has to hurt Leeds ... after thinking they were running away with it, not one but two teams catch them. Leeds to finish 3rd.
I've always mantained that you can take nothing for granted - even when Leeds were 9 points clear a week ago, I still said they can be caught, despite others saying they were definitely already up.
Each team still has 20 games to play, plenty of twists and turns to come yet - and surprises.
At this stage of the season, the only thing you can take for granted - is the fact that you can take nothing for granted.

Plus, Oggy, we know Charlton won't do it the easy way for us! But they proved that fighting spirit again and so long as that remains we will be in there til the last!
You bet we'll make a meal of it, Chaz .......... but while it'd be nice in some ways to be 3-0 up after 20 mins every match like some suppporters expect, that's rarely going to be the reality. Invariably it's 2 steps forward, 1 step back; 2 steps forward.....
The beauty of the game is no one knows how a season will finish.
Or even each match - how many on here put a tenner on Exeter to beat Leeds today .....?
But as you say, as long as our team are up for it and give it their best shot, that'll do for me.
Even if it means biting my fingernails down each game.
Wycombe are no mugs and that was a very good result especially with Norwich winning and Leeds losing. The next three homes are Hartlepool, Orient and Tranmere. 9 points required please.

My oldest lad is mates with Nicky Bailey. They are out together tonight (my son's birthday). Told him to buy him a drink from us 'Lifers' so you all owe a contribution to a vodka and Red Bull!

Needed this result today.
I'd like to know if Wycombe played well of if we played badly. They seemed to have massive spells of play.

Even the BBC site had gremlins ...... you click onto the live text with 5 mins to go, and despite Charlton leading - would show a score of 1-1.
You hit the F5 refresh button - and it showed Charlton leading 1-0 at Halftime. Doh!
