no way will either Holt or Hoolihan be sold. They have just shelled out for Whitbread too as they know this is the best chance they are going to get to get out of League 1 for maybe a while. If not then expect Hoolihan and Holt to go in the summer but not before. Despite what RM may have said Narwich realise they are in a great position and will 'gamble' to a certain extent to get promotion. If the 'gamble' fails you sell Hoolihan and Holt anyway and not really lost anything. I'd be happy for us to 'gamble' a million on the basis that that money plus some would have to be recouped in the Summer. If we don't go up we'll lose Shelvey, Racon, Bailey, Sam etc anyway so why not lose them trying to get promotion.

Norwich are gambling with the entire future of their club not just a few quid!
I know Cafc has very bad debts but if Norwich do not go up this year after spending so much both in the summer (Holt cost a few bob and I think maybe they spent money on Stephen Hughes and Michael Nelson) and spending a fair bit now, is admin a possibilty for Norwich? That is quite a gamble for the board there to take especially as even if they keep everyone the board can't control injuries/suspensions/management etc which could derail their push
Agree with you Large. If we don't go up this year then all I can see is our best players all leaving and still us losing money. Which is the bigger gamble, going ofr it now or doing nowt and hoping we go up anyway?
Easy to say when it ain't my money though I guess!

If we did what Norwich are doing though we could risk the entire future of the club. Lots of clubs will go to the wall in the coming seasons and unless the global financial situation improves, many clubs may simply disappear.
those damn farmers!!!! when are they going to have a bad run, it's gotta end soon! They must be due a few injuries & suspensions.........lets hope lambert does an about turn and leaves for burnley!!!!!!!!!!
I know things can change pretty quickly but let's be honest, Norwich are absolutely flying. Wonder where they'd be without Holt and Hoolahan though.
Also from listening to the reports/updates on Soccer Saturday, Wycombe were by far the better side up at leeds today and were unlucky not to win, so next week will be tough as well.

Isn't it time those 2 were sold, suspended or injured ....?
