Just googled to find out who it was that called this game off so late and came across the following website:-

    I am blaming him for being a dick and waiting until we were all at or near the ground before making up his mind.

    I'd love to look at this from the point of view of someone who didn't have the inconvenience of wasting a day, a fortune on petrol and now lumbered with a ticket to sell on but I can't unfortunately.

    it is when he should have used a bit of common and pulled the game at 10AM

    what was the point in having an early morning inspection if he was going to uhm and ah and say come back at 12PM and I'll have another look?

    he knew the pitch was dodgy, he knew the fallout after the Norwich postponement and quite clearly didn't give a stuff... apparently two hours was going to see raised temperatures and thawing of the pitch - has he got a Key Stage 3 in Science?

    Don't think I don't know the feeling, I'd flown up to Newcastle and was in the ground when it was called off 25 minutes before kick off back on 05. It's not the referee's fault if a pitch is unplayable, these are one of the facts of life when following a football team, on some rare occasions you will be disappointed, so why moan about it!

    Have you asked Charlton if they will refund you. I think Airman Brown said they would, but I might be wrong.
