  • How can you be depressed today, we're not even losing 2-0 at home to Millwall.
Or chucking away victory with 30 seconds left.
  • Depressed?

Nope ... working from home in the warm and off on a business trip to Singapore at end of the week :-) Only thing that annoys me is that I will miss the Hartlepool game.

  • third tier football is great we're currently winning drawing at a real piss poor standard of football and at least we have a chance of winning....
    and we're still second third
i mean who wants to be going to old trafford, emirates, stamford bridge, anfield and playing 4-5-1 with no chance of winning at least in this league we can have games called off cos the local park is not getting enough sun ....

  • Very depressed, Christmas and new year over, having problems with my letting agency who are anonymous when I need to make contact with them yet will be very interested in me on Jan 15th, just got in my car to pop to the supermarket and there is a complete electrical failure, not even the central locking functions or ignition, display etc. *cue massive bill* oh yeah... and serious revision for my finals starts today... • Been gerally melencholy (sp?) for about a fortnight now. Having to get up and drive to our barn conversion offices in temperatures of -6.0°C and then discover the heaters had all been switched off over Christmas making it feel like about -10°C inside the office did little to lift my spirits - I'm only just starting to feel my feet.

And it's my Birthday today so I'm feeling grumpy about being a year older as well. :-(

    And Happy Melancholy Birthday !!

On the Monday after New Year too, when everybody is spent out and partied out.
You don't have much luck do you ?

    ;o)
  • Ha, cheers Oggy. Tbh, I sometimes see it as a bit of a blessing - I'm not one to make a fuss about my Birthday and it lets me slide by under the radar.

I'm sure the good lady will do her best to cheer me up later though! ;-)

I'm sure your lady can work her magic!

  • I've had the lurgy since the evening of Christmas Day. I missed out on going to the Swindon game, the Brentford game and at this rate I'm not going to make Hartlepool either. I'm having to kip propped up on the sofa as if I try to lie down I end up coughing my guts up. I JUST WANT A PROPER NIGHT'S SLEEP DAMMIT!!!!

Ahem. Sorry, but you did ask.
  • Nope.Finished last night.now six days off.Done alright over crimbo too.Seeing all you sad fokkers heading off to work this morning just as i was finishing for a stint was a picture.
  • By rights I should be, just back from two weeks in dear old blighty, really jetlagged, crappy journey to work on my first day back
in the office, blah blah blah.

But the thing that's still making me smile is my visit to the Valley for the Swindon Game. Took AA Jnr (age 8)to his first ever
'soccer' game and he absolutely loved it, I was worried he'd just be just humouring his old dad by coming along but he was totally
in to every single aspect of the game and the day out.
He was asking all kinds of questions about the ground, the players etc and he was joining in the songs (well not 'oh south london')
and of course we both went nuts when Llera scored the equaliser.

Sorry can't be too depressed right now !!

lol all good to hear although hope he wasnt singing the sodje chant :-)
  • i should be but im not!!! shittest day ever but been on facebook and some of the post on my pictures are hysterical so cheered me up big time and also chatting to some fit bird on there

after all my hassle trying to get us to play snooker then turned up and club we play at was closed, no warning or number for them so someone went round there house and they forgot it was snooker season lol other team wasnt impressed tho but shit happens wat can u do!

it was then me and 4 of their team sorting out re-arranging the fixture and they just kept trying to bully me(hypephetically) into letting them have 3-0nil win but i didnt so now wen we play them next week im going to make sure i hammer whoever i play for being a bunch of dicks :P
  • lol im pissed off so thought would let of some steam.....

Where i work, is a new place just starting seems like one rule for one and one for another(classic cliche). PPl i work with are always late and not just by a few mins, for eg. one lady was in today 9.15am, i am always on time but yesterday i was 30mins late, which they have been several times before i called up apologised as you do as i'd over-slept! so as soon as i get in i say i will take of my lunch without hesitation as you should!

right whats annoyed me today is that although this person was late & my sister even later at 9.30am, nothing has been said of this even though it is everyday without foul for both of them! where as yesterday i got told off and was the first time i was late. not only was this said person late, she has been for a fag every 30mins and i dont smoke, yet still gets away with it.

to top it all off they both live a bit further away and they both get to leave earlier and work there lunch, even though there is no snow around here or near theres anymore! they only live about 20mins FYI, i kicked up a fuss but apparentally nothing to do with me grrr! when it is as i have to take bloody messages for them when not here and im not allowed to leave early

this does take the piss but thats the probably with working for you mum, company is all family & friends so others havent got the attitude i have eg. i treat as any other job and doesnt make a difference my mum is the boss although the others clearly dont.

Rant over!!! just needed to get out my system :-)
  • So your mum is your boss yet others get preferential treatment? Have i got that right?
