Elliot - 7 - solid without having to really make many saves, showed safe hands, distirbution a bit iffy, but he did only have 8, spread out people to aim at Omozusi - 7 - Possibly his best game for us, not a grwt fan of his but he's doin a job Llera - 8 - MOM, great at the back and superb finish when we needed it Basey - 7 - solid, not much wrong, some wsted long balls but again everyone guilty of that Shelvey - 7.5 Great finish, and could have scored goal of the decade, if after goin past 8 swindon players had put the goal in the net, Semedo - 7 - wouldnt mind him diputising in centre defense with llera, not great in th air mind Spring - 6.5 - just dont get him but he worked hard Bailey - 7.5 Captain fantatstic A Sodje - 8 - Ran himself tirlessly and scared the shit outa their defense, a genuine threat Burton - 1 - stupid red card and should have lost us three point, luckly we got point
just read back ppls votes, unbelieveably high marks, yes they worked hard and tirelessly but lets not forget swindon were truley awful yes we had 9 men and was a herioc 2nd half and last second equaliser but if that had been a half decent side it wouldve been a cricket score against us.
Not read all the other posts. Very hard to score the players given the circumstances. Can't blame the 9 for what the 2 did so going to score the 9 left on the pitch on their effort, application and skill in the game that was played.
Elliot - 8.5 as we allowed them to have the wings a lot of crossed into the box which he dealt with and one great save from a deflection early on.
Omozusi - 8.5 Gets better every game. Often there with a clearing header
Llera - 9 For that goal and the extreme effort at all times
Basey - 8.5 Solid and worked very hard
Shelvey - 8.5 In the first half seemed a little disjointed perhaps as we were playing a new formation and then two spells with 10 men. 2nd half he was fantastic. Holding the ball, running at them and of course a great goal (in the first half)
Semedo - 9 Great job a CB. Can't really fault him for the second
Spring - 8 If you want to be harsh his normal excellent passing wasn't quite top notch. Great chance to send Bailey away which he didn't complete and a couple of other times gave the ball away cheaply but an assist for the second.
Bailey - 9 energy and leadership all game
A Sodje - 8 For his effort alone. Won a lot of the ball and if only he'd had a partner to feed off the situations he created with his running. Big part in the first goal.
Burton - 4 Set up the first and was playing well even if he had missed what for him was a gimme. But for a player of his experience to get sent off in that was is unforgivable. With 10 men I believe we would have won that game.
McKenzie, Waggy and Dickson all did well. Great ball from Dickson to send Waggy away and nearly led to a goal
S Sodje. Reckless and stupid. Looked bad at the time and even worse on TV.
Parkinson - 9.5 Got everything right. New formation (is that plan D or E?), Was brave and right to keep it 4 - 3 - 2 after the first sending off and then 4 - 3 - 1 after the second.
Then had the brains and the guts not to go for damage limitation at 1 - 2 down but went 3 - 4 - 1 to try and get something and it paid off. Also put Dickson on when he had other options. So not the poor man manager that he has been labelled perhaps.
Swindon 4 We could have buried them with 11 or even 10. We were creating chances throughout. I would love to read Swindon Life's take on it all. Very ordinary team and terrible defence.
Ref - 5 got both sending offs right. Then seemed to not do anything else that might look like evening it up.
The Crowd 9 Really got behind the team when they needed it.
