Well done to Parky for throwing the 2 up front for the last 10 minutes and then Llera for the last 2/3.

People around me were saying we should see it out and damage limitation but we went for it and fair play to Parky.

All the players showed some great attitude today but Parky derserves some credit for some well needed organisation and decision making regarding formations and tactics after a couple of idiotic moments form our more seasoned professionals

    As I said in another thread, well done to Parky for building a squad that can come back like that. A Dowie, Reed or Pardew team would have crumbled completely going down to 9 men.

    Tactics are seriously limited in those situations. Thought Parky got it spot on. Subs were always going to be important and I agreed with the 3 he made. Defo a shit or bust situation at the end, may as well loose 3 whilst going for the draw.

    Yes we conceded possession, but even with 9 I thought we looked the better side.

    We played well but were aided greatly by the utter ineptitude of Swindon. Thought they were terrible. Makes the actions of Burton and Sodje all the more galling as with 10 or 11 on the pitch we'd have won at a canter. The £2.00 I had on Llera last goal made it all the sweeter.

    He got it just right about when to put the extra guys upfront, his substitutions were spot on aswell. Shelvey and A Sodje were knackered whilst Waggy and Dickson really impressed with their cameos. I think if he had delayed the subs, Swindon may well have got a third and killed us off

    Just before he brought Waggy on I said that we might as well go for it, we were losing anyway, down to nine men, what's the point of trying to defend and let them play, that was how they scored two goals anyway. So when Scott came on and we played that 3-4-2, I was well pleased. We'd already been playing with so much heart and spirit, just seeing waggy scaring the crap out of their full back... brilliant!

    I never understand damage limitation, you don't lose points by letting in further goals, even Steve McLaren understood that!

    Parky impresses me more and more by the week and can take loads of credit for today's point although, as somene else pointed out, Swindon were truly awful and, if they're a top six side, this league is even worse than I thought.

    3-4-2? With only eight outfield players? Do you mean 3-3-2?

    Totally agree that PP got our tactics right yesterday but did not think that Chris Dickson had any impact at all. Just me perhaps ?

    Not just you SHG. I thought Dickson did very little. One run and a few instances of giving the ball away cheaply was about it.

    Wasn't at the game but it seemed had Burton and Sodje been a bit less agressive to to speak on the day, we'd have won it.. but I'd be happy with a draw to any 'top 6' side with 9 men. FACT.

    Parkies doing good in my book, but this is Charlton, our form dips and rises can be immense. Let's hope Parkies got them running on confidence and can keep that flowing till promotion.
