ZZ the Chinaman & signings

edited January 2007 in General Charlton
I was hoping that we'd have a couple in by now as we'd have been working on it a few weeks now. Definately need three in before Boro' if we are gonna give ourselves a chance of staving of relegation. AS for ZZ I read on the OS that they are 'expecting' him in for training NEXT Monday. Forest would have been an ideal game to break him into the English game but it's not to be. Would be tough to ask him to start v Boro, maybe a bench spot. Saying that however we are not in the position to gradually introduce anyt new signings so maybe it will have to be a case of throwing them in at the deep end and see if they sink or swim.

hasn't zz been training with us for a couple of months though?
  • Yeah.... I think he has definately spent at least some time with us when we were checking him out.... in the purly fooball sanse of the phrase......
  • no, he was over for a couple of days when LR was in charge but it was a couple of days only.
  • can't see the bloke playing until Feb. Pardew hasn't even seen the bloke bloody play so he is hardly going to throw him straight in the Cup let alone the PL,

    Think you're right, Arfur.

Hailed by the press as Pards' first signing - Pards didn't even really know who ZZ was.
And certainly never saw him play.

Put that one down to Uncle Les & Handy Andy, the General Manager.
