    I'm generally against mass grieving - its just a bit too Scouse.
    However if we must applause it better than silence.

    if people prefer silence then lobby the fans forum and club to try it next season.

    There could also be a vote on it.

    Personally i dont really think it matters much at all.

    what does matter is that we remember those who've died

    Applause is best. My Dad died 18 months ago and he was remembered accordingly.I will always recall the minutes applause, with sad but proud memories.
    I would have been very upset if anyone had "spoilt" a minutes silence, which I'm afraid happens all too often these days.

    I've always felt that a buzzing stadium falling completely silent in memory is an incredibly moving and respectful event. That said, when my time comes I think I would prefer to be appluaded on my way.

    As just said above though, the important thing is that we remember our fellow Addicks.
