MISCELLANEOUS STATS (AFKA/ Salad)

That was the first Charlton game (league) this season to finish 1-0.

Charlton have the best home form in League 1, averaging 2.6 pts per game. Colchester are next on 2.5 followed by Leeds and Huddersfiled on 2.4.

30% of Charlton's goals have been scored in minutes 21-30.

Stockport have lost their last 7 games, conceding at least 3 goals in the last 3 home matches. They can take some solace from an improvement of sorts on Saturday ... they weren't behind at half-time, unlike the previous 6 games/defeats.

Carl Baker has scored 8 of Stockports 16 goals this season, but Stockport haven't scored in the first hour of a game since September.

Stockport have the worst home record in the league, winning just one and drawing just two of their nine league games. They have conceded 12 goals in their last four home league games. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of those nine games.

Charlton have been winning at HT in 50% of their matches. Stockport have been winning at HT in 11% of theirs.

Comments

  • Im really staggered by the possession stats, seemed to me they had most of the play, especially in the second half.

Keep up the good work Dan

Agreed. Most of the play was in our half as well.

Nailed on Stockport win this weekend given their recent form.
  • I don't like the Stockport stats - it all sounds too good.

    lol, that was my thoughts.

They are clearly in a rut, and we've got to capitalise on it.

I thought we were winning at HT?
  • I read all of Stockport as "Southend" and confused myself.

    The Valley IS a fortress!
  • out cornered, out shot and out fouled them plus we had 100% of the goals.

the atmosphere we generate must be very intimidating to the oppo

you're just selecting the stats you like there .... Southend had 25% more off-target shots, 50% more bookings and 100% more red cards.

  • 100% more red cards?
  • That's what I thought Salad is that an Afka stat
  • basic maths - what's 100% of zero?
  • Ok so on your basis we had 100% more red cards than them too.
  • we had 75% more red cards than them

the best record at home in spite of the non support and general silence from the home fans ....
so all this lets get behind them bollox means nowt or if we had properly got behind them we'd have won the lot!!

    Lol
  • The lack of 1-0s is an interesting one. I'm not sure if it's a sign of our free-scoring brilliance, or that we haven't had the ability to churn out results in the way Leeds have when not playing well. When we've been good we've been very, very good but I think the fact we got the win on Saturday is very heartening.
  • [cite]Posted By: oohaahmortimer[/cite]the best record at home in spite of the non support and general silence from the home fans ....

Ah, OohAah, general silence is evidently far more positive than booing and slagging off your own team.

Anyway, once the takeover finally happens, to ensure a silent crowd we're going to groundshare at Charlton Lane cemetery.

The silence will be due to us having our heads buried in the Anne Summers catalogue...erm I mean official program

    Ha ha, Tel.

Maybe be interesting new stock in the Club Shop.
    Could cause quite a buzz.

Club DVD's x-rated ...... and not just because of our dodgy defending.
  • The top 3 ranked players here for this game were Eliot, Dailly, and Burton. Who on the official site decided not to include any of these in their MOM vote?
  • Keep up the good work Salad
