First big test for Sankofa tonight

edited January 2007 in General Charlton
Will be very interesting to see how he gets on, especially with Young approaching fitness.

has had a couple of games to bed in, tonight he'll have to do with pace and movement, and especially knowing when not to commit himself.

Think its a very big for him tonight.

  • I think he's settling in nicely tbh

    btw does anyone know if the game is on sky or tv.

    its on dodgy channels
  • Thank you suzi
  • Done OK against Barry on Saturday. Let him play tonight and on Saturday at Forest then decide if we need Youngs experience against Boro.
  • It's on Italian Sky Calcio, obviously as I've Italian Sky Sports - tossers. I guess I've been spoilt recently with the Spuds, Scousers, Fayeds and Villa games.........
  • How about this line up for the week after next:

    Carson,
    Sankofa, Faye, Diawarra (both french speakers) HH;
    Holland,Walton,ZZ,Thomas;
    Romm + Eastwood

    Any thoughts? Saves spending big money and utilises the 6 million spent on Faye and Diawarra

    SS: How does that work, or can't you tell me?
  • what are we meant to go to the frequency on the sky receiver or on your puter.
  • It just lists the channels it's on, so that if you know a pub with a moody dish, you can pop down there with a chance of seeing the game
  • LOL OH RIGHT I SEE.

    They are showing highlights tonight at half time.

    I am not that desperate to watch

    Let himself down a little by panicking for the offside sending off incident.
    Shame really, for him. He's played reasonably well lately and gained good experience.

    Probably will play Saturday (suspension should kick in after). He'll miss 3 League matches and by then Youngy will be back - unless sold to Curbs (doubt it somehow).

    Perhaps El Kak becomes right back. or Kish. Or Walton (wild card).

    Or send for sicknote Sorondo.
  • He will only get one match ban for that.
  • Wasnt it a straight red? Straight red is 3 match right?

    Not if it's for denying a goalscoring opportunity. Violent conduct is three matches. (unless it's changed this year? I'll check)

    Here you go, Konchesky's appeal rejection. One match ban.

    Paul Konchesky, West Ham United FC
    Fulham FC v West Ham United FC
    23 December 2006
    Dismissed for ‘denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity - physical’

    Result: Claim for wrongful dismissal rejected - 1 match suspension
  • Judging from Pardew's comments, I wouldnt be surprised to see us appeal it... especially if Luke isn't quite ready to return yet...
