Not at all. Sam Sodje played very well before he made his late tackle - but once committed he skidded through the waterlogged surface with no chance of pulling out, no chance of stopping - and clattered into the player.
No question that technically it was a red card ....... but all through the match, the referee made absolutely no allowance for the farcical conditions.
So felt a bit sorry for Sam, but then it was a bit of a silly thing to do on such a treacherous surface.
The Yeovil player should have been given offside anyway but wasn't, so perhaps that's why Sam Sodje was a bit reckless?
Sam Sodje was well worth a 7 before that incident.

S Sodje - 5. Silly mistake that could have cost us the game. Was looking solid until then. Thank God it's only a one match ban.
Dailly - 7. Good game all round - even had an attempt at goal.
Youga - 8. Looked good with Sam on the right. Useful crosses, particularly when cutting in on his left foot. Made himself available all the time.
Sam - 8. Constant threat, particularly in the 2nd half. Unlucky with some of his deliveries.
Racon - 6. Fairly ineffectual. Grat move by Parky with the half time substituion.
Semedo - 7. Always made himself available, won some good tackles and pinged some useful balls around onto the wings.
Bailey - 9. My MoM. He was everywhere. Can't fault him at all, won everything, never gave the ball away. Great footballing brain and fearless.
Burton - 8. Worked his socks off from the first to last minute. Unlucky not to score.
Mooney - 6. Didn't see enough of the ball in his half hour. Would have different if he was on for the 2nd half.
Basey - 8. Best game for us so far. Very dangerous going forward with some mazy runs. Overhit all his corners though.
Llera - 7. Dangerous up front, but didn't have a lot of defending to do. Worked hard.
A Sodje - 8. Excellent Goal, well taken. Was unlucky as the keeper made two great stops otherwise he could have had a hattrick.

Mooney - lightweight, can't head a ball, offers not a lot. Would be a tad more lenient if he were a youngster but he's 25. Not up to it.
Everyone else deserves a 10 for busting their balls for the team. Made me proud to be an Addick.
Parky - 10. Got it spot on in the second half. Threw on Sodje, subbed the ineffective and uninterested Racon, narrowed midfield and allowed the full-backs to push on. We imposed ourselves on them and dictacted the way the game was played. More on the same at the Withdean please. We need to start winning the odd game away, as much to take the pressure off needing to win every home game as anything.
