As an Arsenal Fan, I thought your readers might find this info useful for your visit to our new stadium for the first time...
After 93 years of playing at one of the most historic grounds in the country, Arsenal have moved a
short distance to the Emirates Stadium, instead of returning to Woolwich.
Away fans are housed in the lower tier of the South East (\'green\') corner of the stadium. The normal allocation for away fans will be 3,000 tickets, but this can be increased for cup games.

Directions:
By Car - I\'m assuming few Addicks fans living within London will want to drive, so if you come from somewhere else... Leave the M1 at Junction 2 and onto the A1, following the signs for City (Central London). Keep going on the A1 for around six miles, until you see Holloway Road Tube Station on your right. Less than two hours before a match, this is as close to the ground as you can get by car, and there is nowhere nearby to park. If you are early enough to be allowed, and have somewhere to park at the stadium, take the next left at the traffic lights into Hornsey Road and the stadium is about a 1/4 of a mile further down this road.
Disabled fans who have made arrangements with Arsenal may be allowed to park at the stadium, provided they arrive more than two hours before KO and don\'t mind waiting an hour after the match. For the rest
of you, there is virtually no parking available. In nearby streets a residents only parking scheme is in operation on matchdays, even for streets 1km (more than 1/2 mile) away from the ground. There are some commercial off-street parking places, but even if you can find them, they can charge up to 15 quid. It perhaps may be better to park further out of London around a tube station and get the tube to the ground, or leave the car at home.
By Public Transport:
Away fans are asked to use Highbury and Islington Station - on the Victoria Line and the North London Line.
Other tube stations in walking distance of the stadium are Caledonian Road, Arsenal and Finsbury Park Stations on the Piccadilly Line.
Queues at all these stations at the end of the game can be horrendous (except Caledonian Road ... but the tube trains are full with fans from other stops if you try that option).
In addition to the tube, fans crossing London may find First Captial Connect trains (the new name for Thameslink) from/via London Bridge to Kings Cross Thameslink useful, changing onto the Victoria Line there.
If you want to avoid the tube entirely you can take an overland train to Finsbury Park station (still with queues after the match). The station is served by trains from Kings Cross and Moorgate. If arriving from the North it may be quicker to take a train into London Kings Cross, rather than trying to change onto a train that stops at Finsbury Park.
Note: Holloway Tube and Drayton Park (overland) stations have both been closed to fans going to and from matches, since the opening of the Emirates stadium. So if you used to use them to get to the Arsenal, change your plans!
Another option is to catch a bus from central London. Bus 43 from London Bridge is most likely to be of use to Addicks fans. See http://www.arsenal.com/UserIncludes/docs/emiratesmap1.pdf. Buses, unlike virtually all of the tube (and Finsbury Park Station), are (normally) wheelchair accessible, but are still likely to leave you with quite a trek to/from the ground.
