this is a little out of date.

    pubs review

white swan looks favourite for me as it allows kids in. have drunk at higbury corner before and with emirates stadium very close to highbury i know its only about half a mile away.
just outside highbury and islington tube.

i thought you posted 12 pints for me tonight :-0
does it allow kids in? and also which brewery is it as cheeseroll can be particular?
  • Dunno on either, sorry
  • Right lets get something agreed,

someone decide on a pub by H + I tube that's not going to be home fans only.
  • 12 Pins is a good pub, easy to get to at Finsbury Park, and has a huge bar, and I don't think it's home fans only, not that I wear colours anyway

Your best bet for H+I tube is probably the Cock Inn.

Me, I'm going to the Lamb then getting a tube from Russell Square. Have been down there for a cheeky trio lunchtime - just to see if the ale is acceptable of course!

  • Anyone know why Drayton Park station is not mentioned anywhere on any of the guides, yet appears to be right next to the ground ???
  • Anyone else i know going to that White Swan at H+I ?
  • Drayton Park is shut on matchdays apparently - as is Holloway Road tube. (with thanks to the Arsenal plank that sits opposite me!)
  • wonder if that's just on weekends, would of thought it would be open with the after work commute.....
  • H & I station. Turn left down Holloway Road and there are several pubs on right hand side that are OK. I normally end up in a Firkin - forget what it's called. Never usually too busy, but might be different now with 60,000 crowds.
