Leeds found their feet last season when they changed manager - although they also had managed a great start that season! - before stuttering & faltering in about mid-October.
Simon Grayson came in just before Xmas - 3 games after they were knocked out by Histon.
I think we may well need a similar event occuring, if the downward spiral continues.

they also had more shots on target against histon than the total effort that we managed at northwich, although that wouldn't have been too difficult anyway.
Well, player for player, it's not generally ability that's lacking. In fact if you look at the silky skills of players like Sam, Jonjo and Racon, for example or the ball winning and pass of Semedo ..... and the composure and reading of the game that Dailly provides ...... we've a wealth of talent compared to your average Third Division side.
Tactically, we seem a bit one dimensional - which these days rarely seems to overcome a change of ideas from opponents.
We also seem to lack that little bit of football intelligence when it comes to players making decisions on the pitch - but I'm talking collectively here, rather than singling out individuals.
But what really seems missing, is balls ..... the willingness to show a bit of backbone, find that 1% extra effort, that fired up determination and never-say-die spirit.
Christ, just to show a little enthusiasm would be a good start ......

Well to me Oggy that is down to the manager & his coaching staff, if he can't find a way to motivate the players - what is he doing managing them?

You do all know that we'll suddenly pick up our form and get promoted right? Sheeeesh it's obvious. We demonstrate our potential at the start, then put supporters through hell 'til the last day of the season where a draw and a loss elsewhere will see us promoted.
Maybe the midfield aren't performing, because conciously or subconsciously they are becoming disillusioned, because there is no one good enough up front to give the ball to.
McKenzie & Mooney may be the answer & Burton when he's fit.
Good article Dan. No disrespect at all to Bailey but I think we are crying out for a captain that leads us out there on the pitch. I felt that last year too. I think we need a real presence who can project the right attitude to the rest of them.

Guys, we have had this debate time and time again in the last four years...we are just going over the same old, same old all the time...When Pardew went it was time for a complete shake up, but once again we missed the boat. Their is a canker within the club somewhere (ive no idea where) which needs to be removed and soon...otherwise I fear the worst.

The worrying thing for me is there seem to be very few actual options between now and January when we may or may not be able to make a few signings.
Recalling Dickson and playing him as part of a front pair seems to be about the only one but clearly that is simply not going to happen.
Its a fair point. Three things need to happen IMO:
1. Its been a wake-up call for the players and they go that extra mile
2. Leon McKenzie comes in, stays fit, scores the odd goal and makes the difference. If not, i see no other option than to recall Dickson at the beginning of December as a last throw of the dice. We'd have exhausted all options by then, and a repeat of results in November and December of what we did in October could see us well out the automatic race.
3. We get a bit of luck along the way

IMO, Dailly is the obvious choice to be Captain.
Id agree....
Just about sums it up perfectly.

I`ll drink to that !
On current form.....you know its going to happen.
