In all seriousness, I was hoping to hear by now

that Parky had now viewed the video evidence against McLeod and that, irrespective of an FA charge, he was not going to be considered for the next three games and was to be fined the maximum amout possible by the Club. What he did was totally unacceptable.

Would be interesting to see if you had said the same if it was Semedo/Racon/Dailly etc...
  • Semedo, Racon, Dailly etc would not do such a stupid thing imo
  • Never doubt the football fan's ability to be outraged by the actions of a poor player, and the ability to turn a blind eye, forgive the actions of a good one.
  • That was not my point.

Never has so many negative threads been started by so few, about so many things.

    ;)

The same has been said on the Mr Magoo thread. No excuse whatsoever is acceptable for our lack of action.

I would. It was thuggery, pure and simple.

I'm not actually critical of McLeod yesterday. He was made to play a role he wasn't suited for, got absolutely no service, didn't see the ball at all. Maybe he was frustrated.

  • he may have been frustrated (by the lack of service or something Parky said at half-time ?) but can't understand how that would make you elbow someone straight from the kick-off - he hadn't had time to get wound up !!(unless the player said something to him - maybe along the lines of "didn't expect to still see you out here" or worse " you just come on as I can't recall seeing you in the 1st half")
  • Something MUST have been said.

and that justifies his actions? I suppose he's not used to being on TV and didn't expect anyone to notice. Stupid boy.
  • Not at all... it was appalling- I've defended him in the past, I now just think the bloke's an utter tool.
  • Just checked out his career total - 47 Yellow and 4 Red (5 if you include yesterday) which means he's got just 18 more goals than cautions.

As against 8 yellows and no reds for Darren Bent and 117 more career goals than cautions. And no one worked harder up front than Benty did for us to win the ball, a lot of the time as a lone striker.
  • Agreed. Why has Parky not re-signed him?

    Parky Out.

    Parky Out.

I suspect that Parky will be re-signing McLeod on an extended contract. Seems to be the thing to do.
  • if mcleod gets banned for 3 games we should appeal and ask them to ban him for the rest of the season he is useless and a total idiot .
  • He was made to play a role he wasn't suited for

I think Dave Mehmet gets 'post of the day' there.

Parky no doubt fired them up after the poor first half. Comments about being outfaught were no doubt raised.
I think from the moment that incident occurred there was only going to be one winner.
We were under pressure, and that strike proved it.
