What is everyone banging on about?

edited November 2009 in General Charlton
Did people see the same game as me? Yes we were woeful for the first half but in the second when Burton and McKenzie came on we actually looked like we could play 4-4-2 effectively for the first time this season; and about the first time I can remember.

Put Burton and Mckenzie up top and suddenly we have two athletic players who can compete. Sodje and Dailly never stopped competing, OK they didn't work out Bailey in the first half. Yes our midfield struggles to find a leader, but bring Bailey in tight left rather than his loose left he seems to have drifted into and that team could easily go on a run in league one. If Mckenzie stays fit his pace and power will find space for our 'look at you' midfield.

  • Oh, no. What have you done Colin.

Having not seen the game I was sure that we were terrible all over and had come to terms with that.

Now you've got me thinking that we might, just might, have something some hope to cling to, some vague prospect on a far, far horizon.

    You B******** : - )
  • Mooney made a similar late improvement at Carlisle. What I can't quite work out yet is; are Mckenzie & Mooney good players or is it just such a relief to see a to striker on the pitch with some sense of how to be a striker, as opposed to the dreadful player Mcleod?
  • Don't worry Henry, Burton needs an op and McKenzie is too injury prone. There goes your hope!!
  • so for ten minutes, against non-league opposition, we looked good. Wowee. I really hope this is a wind-up Colin. Jeez, easily pleased or what.
