we were never going to win the fa cup so if we have to go out

then doing so to a club that needs a bit of luck like northwich is ok by me...that's not to say losing any game doesn't annoy me but if we weren't wearing our proper kit then it doesn't count...charlton play in red shirts and shouldn't change from that unless there's a clash of colours with the home team and one day we will have people in charge of the club that understand that one simple fact...

  • It's not the kit it's the players that wear it and the ones that wore the kit today should be ashamed of themselves!
  • I don't suppose anyone has any choice about it - the referee probably instructed us to play in that kit.

black and blue is the colour of the victim...its a losers shirt...we play in red shirts...and they should only be ashamed of themselves if they think they were better than the opposition but to me it looked like they weren't and they lost to players that were better than them...
  • thats a very good point to make, yes we were rubbish and lost to team not even in the football league.... but on the bright side we would never have won the cup anyway!

we can look at it two ways, firstly at least we have less games and can concentrate on the league now(this is how i feel, even though was dissappointed initially)

Or we could have done with a cup run for extra revenue, also as a distraction to the league which can sometimes be good

But i prefer to look at it in the first way, as i am an optimist

Or we could look at it as an opportunity to show that we can actually play football, have some talented players, a manager who knows what he is doing and a give a run out to a few lads who are on the 1st team fringe.

As it happened none of the above occured and the fact we were never going to win the FA cup is an irrelevance. We should have offered to forfeit the game if that is the case and save the shame of the whole afair.

To hear that the payers were joking and laughing as they left the ground is simply unnaceptable.
  • to be fair - I am ashamed of the team for tha performance BUT we aren't goin gto win the competition so it's no skin off my nose really.

We do actually have a good chance of winning the Johnstones Paint Trophy and so I want a win in that (not that it makes up for the shambles yesterday) and the league IS our priority.

A performance like that on Wednesday will not be acceptable and if that happened against the MK Dons then I can see complete outrage.

Thankfully McLeod won't need to play as I hope to have seen the last of him now that McKenzie looks sharper
