[cite]Posted By: F-Blocker[/cite]Driving a steam train at 12:30 then quickly back to friends' place for lunch & ITV - will probably miss the first 15mins.

When people said get the train to Northwich, you took it literally then. Those old Cheshire steam trains !

A few weeks ago agreed to go to Chelsea v Man U as part of corporate event. Subsequently we get the live game on the same day, can I get out of going to Chelsea? Not a chance!

Relying on Sky + and a huge slice of luck in avoiding the result!

Just stick a scarf round your eyes and some earmuffs on - don't worry about the Chelsea game - you won't miss much, then go home and enjoy.
    :-)

I'll probably wake up - Sunday Lunch, few cold ones on the sofa screaming my ass off at McLeod for missing another chance, and at our boring 1-1 draw. then hibernating till Wednesday night to do similar. :-)

ITV's website says the game is on ITV1 and also on their website. It says they're doing the same for the Norwich game tomorrow so check and see if that's available on the site and then you should be ok for sunday.
  • Watching the game in Walkers Bar, near The Strip in Albufeira, followed by the Sky game then off to Chinese buffet at The Happy House...

Algarve - do you know whats the name of the restaurant at near bottom end of strip that cooks the food on hot stones?
  • On the Sofa with a couple of cold beers and a warm woman, and not the other way round, which could also be fun.
  • Chris of Sidcup

My annual visit to church on this day, otherwise would have driven up: haven't missed a non -league cup tie 'til now (ie Tonbridge onwards). Several bottles of cider and lots of sarnies ordered from the cook: a long day, us then Chelsea, then the recorded motorcycle GP. Good luck to all who go, do us proud.

Just 200 tickets sold ? Not going myself but surely there are more than 200 up for it. If Palarse sold 200 for a game we'd take the piss for years.

So you are sort of taking the piss out of yourself aren't you? People have all sorts of reasons for going or not going.
Sunday, 130. TV. Difficult ticketing arrangements (already done to death elsewhere). And frankly whether you go is your own business. But its always funny when people say " I'm not going, but our away support is shit...."
We'll have about 500-700. You don't need a ticket in advance.

After spending yesterday cutting in a 3m worktop, including biscuit & dog bone joints. I decided last night to cut out the sink hole, bad idea as I dropped the thing and now have 2 pieces. So picking up a works van and going to get another and get back before kick off, I hope.

Supposed to be doing some work this am. VPN connection is so slow that it's impossible so about to go out for a 25 mile ride down to the Dartford crossing and back. No doubt I'll be so knackered that I'll fall asleep and wake to Northwich getting their late consolation!.
