Having just typed that discussion heading in I'm now beginning to realise what a difficult choice it is. I'm not necessarily talking about the best players here - just your favourites for whatever reason. Here's mine to be shot down and picked at (and for someone to come up with a name that I've temporarily forgotten that makes me want to change my mind!)
80's - for me it was Johnny Humphrey. The man was sheer class - a great athlete, quick, strong and a great crosser of the ball. How he never got capped for England is a total mystery (although it was probably just because he played for us!)
90's - difficult one this as we had some pretty mediocre seasons before the play-off final, but I'm going to (controversially) go for Simon Webster. In a team of players that basically weren't very good his commitment and leadership qualities - not to mention the odd scorching goal - stood out like a beacon. (I should qualify this by saying that these were the days I used to go to EVERY game home and away - but also that I was invariably smashed!)
00's - cheating a little bit here but I'm going for Mark Kinsella, for much the same reasons as Webbo really. A true leader and a model pro. He was the epitomy of the Charlton spirit in those early Prem years.
Obviously, older folks are welcome to pick out players from the 70's & 60's too (or even the 50's, Henry!), but as my first game was in 78/79 I'd really only be going by what the old fella has told me (in which case Paul Went would be in there!)

As a youngster I went for the glory boys but as I've got older I've grown to appreciate the loyal grafters.
19990s: Rob Lee in the early part, Super Clive in the middle and then Robbo...all great club players.
2000: Kinsella, great engine and never say die attitude...
Have to also agree with Kinsella - and decent fella and a true professional. Ray Treacy and of course Paul Mortimer (still cant get over the total elation when we beat Millwall in the snow - I was walking on air for a couple of weeks after that match....pure magic!
90s - 1.Clive Mendonca 2. Richard Rufus 3. Shaun Newton
00s - 1.Claus Jensen 2. Darren Bent 3. Paulo Di Canio
90's- Richard Rufus
00's - Scott Parker
90's mendonca - without his goals the club wouldn't have made the step up to prem and we would have lost players like rufus, kinsella and himself, and would probably be a mid table fizzy pop outfit now.
00's chris powell - i've yet to see a more honest pro on the pitch and off, (i remember him visiting kids in hospital on xmas day).
*winky smiley*
70's Derek Hales

90's (in no particular order- i cannot pick between them all different reasons but all gave so much!!!)
Kinsella, Robinson, Mendonca, Brown, Rufus.

90's: Robert Lee, although I would have put him in the 80's category had I not been so fantastic myself.
00's: Ask me again in 2010. Nobody's mentionned Darren Bent yet.
90's Kinsella, Robbo, Rufus and Clive

All very classy
90's Kin Kin Kinsella
00's Parker
90 Bobby Bolder
00 Parker
60's - Mike Kenning, a great winger and a hell of a shot
70's - Has to be Killer
80's - Leaburn - he didn't score too many goals but his hold up play and distribution were underrated
90's - can't decide between Robbo and Brownie both 110% who were Charlton through and through
00's - Chris Powell now but I hope it will one day be Bent the younger as the highest ever goalscorer at the Valley
And how could i forget Sir Chris Of Powell. He is a legend.
