I know the thought isn't the perfect scenario, and no one involved is likely to get universal support, but for purely hypothetical argument sake, there is a straight choice out of these two groups in taking over the club, which would you ultimately plump for:

I'd rather take my own eyeballs out with a medium-sized jcb digger than have Dennis Wise involved with Charlton.
We know nothing about Wise's supposed backers, their plans or levels of investment.
We do know about Sullivan and Gold and their track record in football but again nothing of their plans or how they will address the concerns of fans or maintain the traditions of the club
The last thing I want is someone coming in investing millions but changing the manager etc every 10 games meaning we never get anywhere a la QPR and the early signs at Notts County.
I assume that the one person who has voted for Wise so far is that bloke the SLP interviewed!
Can't argue with logic like that!
;o)
Sullivan/Gold would seem a better bet - particularly with the (SLP) suggestion that Wise would want the manager's job. It would be totally counterproductive to replace a guy (PP) who has only lost 1 in 13 and has steered us to second in the league.
That said, the Middle East consortium that Wise is supposedly fronting could mean more cash than the Gold/Sullivan partnership could bring.
Think I’d still ‘go for Gold’ though.
And the thought of Wise involved in anyway with our club makes me sick. Plaaayer is right.
Jimenez is only being used as a fixer, after his scouting role at Newcastle he should never be employed in a football role ever again.
They didn't. He was approached by Wigan who paid compensation for him.
Wise is very unpopular for numerous reasons. The Millwall connection doesn't help, but I doubt people would be too upset at the thought of Coppell getting involved despite his local history. Wise, rightly or wrongly, has always just come across as a spiteful, aggressive, and untrustworthy little man; not characteristics we yearn for on our board.
Ooops, my mistake! Wasn't there some ho-hah at the time about them saying they were glad to get rid or at least the fans didn't feel they tried hard enough to keep him or something similar?
and he'd still be there if it wasn't all the hoo-har surrounding the then later aborted takeover by Carson Yeung. Bruce wanted to know what the future held but neither party could give an answer so he upped and off to Wigan.
Jimenez is in a very murky business world. Transparency isn't his thing if he buys us it will be to make a quick buck. God helps if it goes Ashley I'd doubt he'd do what our board has recently done.

For now, my vote would go for "none of the above".
ditto
the whole point of it was a hypothetical 'filler'. I'm sure if there was a none of the above option, it would walk it.
after a lot of deliberation about the hypothetical question can i vote none of the above??
edited cos afka beat me to it
BUT
how deep are his pockets and he says he is looking for new investment so I vote for Gold/Sullivan as they didn't do a bad job at Brum and Wise is trash. My main worry is that all this talk of takeovers will upset the team and football management as it did last season with the Arabs - lets hope Murray and Co have learnt from last year's mistakes and effect a seamless takeover - if we have to have one.
So whats the biggest no no . Guys that make their dosh from SMUT (not PORN) or some one who buys up bits of the NHS and sells em at a profit ?
or someone who has had roger de courcey's arm somewhere uncomfortable for the last 30 years.
yep
