[cite]Posted By: golfaddick[/cite]just hope we make the top 6 otherwise there are going to be some seriously p**sed off fans looking at number of u predicting we are going up automatically !
Somehow i think we all knew you wouldn't have us down to get promoted. I know you go away a lot so having seen us get draws AWAY at your predicted top 2, and beat the team you've got in 3rd at home, i'm interested to know your thinking behind predicting those sides will finish well above us?
Interesting how everyone thinks Leeds are going to win this league, well for starters i think we are a much better side than them, absolutely dominated them in large parts of the game at elland road and exactly the same thing happened for norwich last night, who were absolutely fantastic i thought!Leeds are just a long ball and that will surely be sussed out eventually plus there luck(90 minute winners every week it seems to be) will not last forever either, beckford will score some goals but i dont think he will score the huge amount which everybody is predicting, he missed chance after chance last night! I predict that Norwich will win the league, we will come second and Leeds will finish 3rd.

I'm going for this as I feel confident in our team right now, but you could easily interchange any of those top 4 and maybe even 5 as Colchester are a handfull under Boothroyd even if they're not too pretty. We arguably have the weakest squad of the four and perhaps the least potential to go out and add to it in January. Saints will take points off sides too, but I suspect they have too much to do after their points deduction and poor start.
As others have said, it's going to be a very tough league to get out of this year - reminds me of the play-off winning year in that this is probably the best League 1 for a good few years, rather like Division 1 was at the time with players like Van Hooijdonk, Phillips, Quinn and Merson playing in it.

You could turn that round by arguing they're getting results without playing well so what happens when they really click? Their home form is amazing (unbeaten at home since January) and they've not lost in 15 league games so to say they'll be sussed out is strange. it's certainly taking teams a while to suss them out!
And as for Beckford not scoring a huge amount, of course he will. They create chances, some he'll miss but he puts away a lot. 62 goals in 92 games tells you that.
Any team finishing above Leeds will win the title.
Think saints will nick last play off spot from colchester, we will condemn Leeds to play offs, 2nd to last game and we will win the title against Exeter the week before that!
I also predict that Leeds will have a nightmare 6/8 weeks Jan/Feb time and we will romp away!

Leeds were pretty much unbeatable at the start of the season before last (when they had the points deducted) but blew up on the home stretch. The Leeds fans I know are cacking themselves that the samething is going to happen again this year. They thought we were the better footballing side at Elland Rd and were happy with their point. True Leeds are good at grinding out results but be interesting to see how they react after they lose their first game. They have had a lot more luck than us (but for bad reffing we beat Norwich & Southampton). Colchester is the only game we didn't deserve to win so far. Leeds certainly didnt deserve anything at Southend.
Long way to go but we certainly shouldn't think Leeds are unbeatable!

All very good points, and who knows what will happen. Leeds signing Vokes and Gradel on loan could be a masterstroke though.
I think millwall will be in the shake up once the injuries have cleared up. MK Dons are going quietly about there business andthink they will be around. Leeds with there signings over the last few days should push on again.
I think we lack belief sometimes and in that I include us lot, we have had an excellent start but we seem to lack some fluidness to our play. I hope i'm wrong otherwise it's Millwall in the play offs ;-)
all in all we couldn't have asked for better/tougher/more exciting final THREE home games of the season could we. All three battling for top six places according to all of us.
[cite]Posted By: Salad[/cite]not even half-way yet - but in general people probably weren't expecting the Franchise fall and the stickability of Colchester
except for Chizz, Covered End (x2, JonnyBev and Mascot!
