The Football League Paper

edited October 2009 in General Charlton
Just started buying it this season and i diddnt rtealise what a cracking read it is i bought a copy yesterday morning and am still reading it now its really informative about most clubs.

I thought it would end up being 30 pages about champ teams and then one page for League 1 and half a page for League 2 but it quite fairly covers all leagues to the same amount am really chuffed £1.50 well spent.

Comments

  • £1.50 for 1 page of league 1?
  • Eh? It has 30 pages for CCC and 1 for league one and this "covers all leagues to the same amount"?

    PAOLO DI CANIO!!!
  • He says ''I thought it would....''
  • Ah - i'm sure he just edited that. ;-)

    Correct.
  • Fair do's :-)
  • Yer true i ment it to say i thought it would only include 1 page aboout our league but it fairly covers all leagues and is a great read even if they did print the wrong date on some of the pages this week :-)
  • I'm just wondering what a thirty one and a half page newspaper would look like.
  • I agree with you Ru, I think it is decent value for money. The publishers clearly realise that there are fans of clubs other than the Premier League and they realise that there is a big interest in the fortunes of clubs such as us, Norwich and Leeds, not to mention many others outside the top two divisions that are big, well supported clubs whose fans deserve to read more than the odd round up in the Mail on Sunday.

Or the sun which is just a paper created to suck up to the big four (hate that expression). One of the things that stands out in this paper for me is the fairness in the writing unlike the Sun or other papers they tend to be completly unbiased when talking about all clubs.

  • As in actually reporting on the match in question rather than worrying about what's on John Terry's I-Pod and then putting the score at the bottom!

Agree 100% i would luv to start a Petition to get rid of the sun newspaper and all the ballshite that follows it Page 3 is the only thing you can belive that is written in there. Also page 3 would be the only non biased view afterall we all know a nice pair when we see them dont we lads.
  • It would stop all the top four suck up stories about how Vidic was seen running on Sunday morning woop woop
  • Tried to get one a lunch from WHSmiths but they didn't seem to do it?
