Got acouple of days work down "Church Road" next week in an empty flat,so to save diesel might stay down there overnight (or 2).
Any decent pubs and Chinese restuarants down there ?
Neither that I am aware of or found myself. I did up a flat that is at the bottom of church road, looking up the hill and spent a few nights there when I took time off day job to work on it. That was about 3 years ago. St leonards is a bit.of a dive and Hastings no better. But as I don't mind pubs that are dives it didn't bother me too much. There is a decent curry house on london road, just through warrior square from where you are, on the right.

[cite]Posted By: Charltonparklane[/cite]Weird, going there next week for a couple of nights with the missus. Nice Gurkha restaurant on the sea front. Bit of a sh*t hole though mate.
Going there for nice little hotel we know. Zanzibar Hotel, check it out.Bit of a diamond ina big bit of rough.
Steve: Working in Number 3: Just up from the Church, which is
CPL, about a 2 minute walk from the Gurka restuarant: Looked nice when we passed it yestersday.
Bought a flat in the block at the bottom of the hill on the second floor. The living room looked directly up church road. Sold at just the right time, before prices dived. I quite like the area to be honest, bit rough round the edges, but I like that side to it.
Cosmo in Harold Place Hastings...huge running 'eat as much as you like' buffet.............. Chinese/Cantonese and Thai.
Not been there myself but have spoken to one or two who say it's a very good deal.
Just behind the promenade...................... off Robertson Street.
The football ground in Hastings holds/held the world record for the closest derby game. St Leonards Utd and Hastings Town shared a parimeter fence, which made them even closer than Dundee/Dundee Utd.
