Norwich vs Bristol

edited October 2009 in General Charlton
I was today visiting UEA on one of their open days and as I trolled around with a huge amount of people I thought their could be something much better with my time, so I popped along to Carrow Road to see what ticket prices were like, and seeing as I lied about my age, I got away with an U16 ticket and watched the game for £6.

It was a very exciting first half, Norwich dominating play, two penalties, controversy and the like. However, what I found odd (and I wasn't fortunate enough to get to the Charlton game so I can't compare with then and no), was how appalling both defences looked. While Bristol looked to create nothing going forward, Norwich couldn't handle the little they threw at them. As for Bristol, there defence was atrocious. I described it as the worst defence I have ever seen from a professional side (and I saw our defence 20 times+ last year).

As for Chris Dickson watch. To say he was the best player on Rovers side wouldn't be a compliment, and to be honest he wasn't. The little his midfield offered him he was either dispossessed or his first touch went astray. He had one change of note from 10 yards that, if he were as prolific as some people say he is, he should've put away.

Focus on the positives however, the Norwich fans seem like a nice bunch and Wes Hoolahan was by far the best player on the pitch. I described him as a class above the rest, and he was the difference between the two sides. There was a lot of talk about us missing out on signing him when he was at Blackpool and in the end he went to Norwich, we definitely missed a catch there.

Final note, Bristol won't finish 3rd in the league, and when people said whoever finished above Norwich would win the league may have a point, but there will be another 4 or 5 teams between them!
